The next morning, Iris rolled over, it had been a hard past week, moving out of her and Eddies apartment, staying at a hotel until she would ask her dad about moving back in. But even that option was wary on her shoulder because thats where Barry lived again, and she was in love with him so how was she suppose to be a 'just friend' or 'his sister' anymore which threw her a curve ball. So she had said she needed some space for a little to be on her own, but in realtity she spent alot of late nights at her fathers house because her father asked her too but he would always have something to do and leave her and barry alone, watching a movie, playing a game, eating dinner, making dinner. Iris didn't think it was a coincedence after the third time him doing it. Yes, it had been awkard especially the fact that Barry had admitted his feelings to her and she didnt respond at all to his confession until a few weeks after, but even then she couldn't say anything to him because she didn't think that he felt like that for her anymore...
She didn't know what to do anymore, about her feelings, it was like nothing she ever felt before, she wanted him to be hers but how do you do that kind of thing without being weird? Was she desperate? Was she crazy? No.. just crazy in love with her childhood sibiling and current bestfriend. She loved Barry Allen more than anyone else she knew at the time.
Iris pulled the blankets off her self and got up slowly, and put on her thin robe over her pajama shorts and tank top and opened the door to the small balcony, stepping out into the cold, she crossed her arms, looking out at her city view, it was its brightest and pretiest at night and she loved every moment of this time of the morning in Central City. She sighed looking out over the edge again, her arms on the railing. She shivered, goose bumps showing on her mocha skin, yep...definatly winter weather, but it would be over soon and then the flowers would come out and she could start taking her daily walks, maybe she would follow through and get a dog this year.
After a few minutes out on the balcony she went back inside, closing up her robe and going into the small kitchen and starting her coffee water, before going to her bedroom to get changed. After she put on her blouse, the last article of her out fit she looked in the mirror at herself. Iris had a short black shirt on, and her red blouse on over the tank top she had on. The outfit reminded of when Barry told her that he was different and they would never be as close as they used to be, which apparently was the reason he kept disapearing right after he came out of the coma. Those nine months had been the worst months that iris had ever had to experience ever in her life, and she was definatly thrilled that he was happy, alive, home and safe, thats all that ever mattered to her while she was with barry, around him.
She smiled to herself in the mirror before the machine peeped in the other room and she slipped on her flats, leaving her room to go back to the kitchen, she got her coffee out and took a sip of it and sighed happily to herself "perfect" Iris whispered savoring the taste before putting it in a water bottle that had a second purpose for a mug. The woman then grabbed her jacket putting it on zipping up the front, then grabbed her phone and purse then opened the door, closing and locking it.
Iris went down the hallway of the apartment structure then out to the back parking lot, when she opened the door to her car and immediatly felt a rush of air behind her. The Flash...what was he doing here this early in the morning and how did he know where she lived? Weird. "Flash what are you doing- here?" Iris turned around but didn't see the normal red, but instead saw a man in a yellow suit, shivers went down her spine "Not Flash, i am his reverse, opposite, although you might know me better as the man who ended Nora Allen's life" he said. The man was viberating his body complelty, she could make out no figure at all. "Why are you here.." Iris demanded her hand finding its way to her pocket where she had her father on speed dial, but before she could do anything with that call her phone was snatched out of her hand.
The Reverse Flash snapped her phone in half and threw it to the side, it bounced in peices beside the trash can, Iris tried to get into her car but she was grabbed, and in a moment she was suddenly on top of the bridge between Keystone and Central City. Iris gasped holding onto the side of it, he was standing over her, she slipped a little and let out a scream "oh my- Get me down f-from me" she didn't look up at him at all "Oh do you really want me to leave you up here?" he said his voice viberating "Shut up and get away from Central City, you've already done enough!" she ignored his comment.
Before the man could talk again, Reverse grabbed her and suddenly everything for her was dark...
+++THAT NIGHT IN STAR LABS+++
"Barry we are watching your vitals, everything looks fine, try going a bit faster" Caitlin said through the speaker into the running/speed room with the tredmill in it that could go just as fast as barry could. Barry sped up with ease, listening to Cisco and Caitlin on the other side of the speaker and the glass. "Thats great barry, keep going, how are you feeling?" Cisco said checking stats, vitals.
"I feel great, to tell the truth, how is everything looking on your guys end?" he asks speeding up still until he came to the top that the tredmill could do. "Everything looks good just stay at that speed and pace and we should be good" caitlin responded watching the blurr barry made as he ran.
"that's great, but guys I've been running for thirty plus minutes, can we call it a day and let me grab something to eat?" Barry asked slowing down looking over at them, Cisco nodded and turned off the tredmill letting the speedster get off of it. "Okay okay okay, but next time we need to start working on your endurance" he said compromising with the hero.
"Hey we've been cooped up in here all day, lets all go get food out there" Barry suggested looking at his friends "I think that sounds good what do you think Cisco?" Caitlin said grabbing her over coat and putting it on, buttoning up the front of it. "I'm up for anything, im starving" Cisco smirked a bit zipping up his jacket.
"I'll go change, then we can go" Barry said going back to the speed room and went to pick up his jacket and his phone fell out, there was two miss calls from Joe, he was about to call back when Joe called again, "One second guys!" he shouted to Caitlin and Cisco before picking up.
"Barry..thank the Lord you picked up, have you-" the older man spoke quickly, it was rushed and out of breath as if he had been running, or was just panicked "Joe whats wrong? is it a meta human is it-" "No Barry...Its Iris"
