Walking home in the rain, I hold my umbrella up high and focus whilst my headphones blast music into my ears. As I get to the walk light, the rain is getting heavier and the sky looks a bit red. I look up in confusion- I wonder what made the sky turn this hue. Nonetheless, I have to get home. It's already late and I shouldn't have even been out this late...But, of course, my boss loves to keep me there when nobody is even inside. I know Jayla was sound asleep in her bed like she usually is when she doesn't have to work. I take a deep sigh and focus on the fact I have the next three days off. I can relax and take a nice hot bath as soon as I get home. I stare at the light and see if I can force it to turn red so that the cars can stop. Not shocked at all, the light turns yellow and slips to red as all the cars stop, coming to a halt. As soon as it's safe to walk, I run across the street, and soon enough, I reach my apartment complex. I walk to the staircase and as I pull my keys out to open the door, I reach out to grab the doorknob- which pushes away from my grasp... Did I leave my door open all day?

I turn on my living room light and pull my knife from my pocket, slowly walking around the house searching for anything that may seem out of place. Everything is in its place, nothing is broken and nothing was stolen. I continue to walk slow and easy, praying that there really is no danger. I'm sure there isn't but, for the simple fact that it is 2:56 am, I just want to be safe. Windows, locked. everything is just how I left it. I relax and realize, I left my door cracked and walk to my front door to close and lock it. One by one, I pull off an item of clothing: starting with my shoes, ending with my shirt. I walk around in my underwear and pick up my clothes to throw in the washer. As soon as I open my drawer to pull out something to wear, my phone rings. I pick it up and see my best friend, Jayla's, contact info. I answer the phone and she yelps with excitement.

"Saph! I'm so glad you answered. Do you wanna come to this party with me?" She says loudly, "Please say yes."

"It's three in the morning, Jayla," I say to her, looking for my t-shirt. I hear loud music in her background but I can still hear her properly. "Please! Just for an hour. I'll even come to get you." She says, "Look, the girl who threw the party is mostly allowing girls, I can't get in by myself and you're a master manipulator." I look over at my crystal ball and two words float across it. 'DO IT' I sigh deeply and look at the lace bodice hanging from my closet door. "I'll be ready in ten minutes," I say right before hanging up the phone. I take a deep sigh and I head to the bathroom to take a quick shower, fix my hair and attempt to look like I tried. The black lace bodice I just bought is legit see-through. I only bought it because Jay convinced me to. I put it on like a pair of panties and adjust it where it needs to go. My boobs look absolutely perfect as the bra part pushes it up. It tightens around my stomach and waist and when I turn around, I see two chocolate cheeks. Makes my body shape look almost perfect. I pull a pair of medium blue-colored ripped jeans on top of it and put on a pair of my vans to go with. Simple. I grab my gold hoops and smear on some lip gloss. I only go to parties for Jayla. She gets buck wild when she goes by herself. I mentally prepare myself for another night of babysitting and as soon as I breathe out, thinking I'm ready to go, I hear a knock at my door. I open my door to see an extremely excited Jayla. She looks at me wide-eyed and squeals again.

"I'm getting really sick of you squealing," I say, in a giggle. She grabs my arm and as I grab my phone and keys, she pulls me out of the apartment, linking her arm with mine as I lock my door before heading off with her. She continues to eyeball me up and down like a proud mother sending her kid off to be married.

"You look so fucking good! I'm so glad you finally wore that bodysuit." She says as we walk to opposite sides of the car, "You might even snag someone." She winks as we flop into the car. She starts it up and turns up her radio; the entire car is vibrating as we roll down the street. We're literally going to a party, can we relax on the loud music for just a little bit? And, as soon as I finish with that thought, I see her hand, from my peripheral, reach out and turn the radio down a bit. I swear, she can read minds. I look at Jayla and then back out the window. I don't really remember how my first conversation went with Jay- maybe from the amnesia- but, I am glad that she continued to want to be my friend.
