All of the girls had made it into the town, Kami looking around, surprised at how big and expensive everything looked. She glances at a clothing store, then turns back to Maka and the group of girls.

"Let's go to my favorite store,"  Maka said before pulling the group of girls into the store. The store was an almost pop rock clothing store, except it also had other styles of clothing like alt, goth, etc.. It looked amazing in Kami's eyes, Maka apparently thought so too. The other girls weren't really into things like this, but they still looked around with Kami and Maka. Kami spotted a skirt that looks almost exactly like the one Maka is wearing, except it had a belt with a chain dangling. 

"Maka, look," Kami said, motioning to the skirt. Maka turns around to look at it and when her eyes land on it, Maka beams.

"That's so cute! You should definitely get it!" Maka exclaims with pure excitement.

Kami nods and picks it up, checking to see if it was her size, and luckily it was. Next, Kami found a plaid dress that faded into black the closer it got to the bottom until it was fully black. She picked that up as well, again, checking to see if it would fit her. After confirming that it would, she found another leather jacket, some pentacle earrings, and black combat boots to go with it, and that is one outfit. To go along with the skirt, Kami finds a black, long-sleeve shirt. After picking out a couple of more outfits, Kami decided that was enough for this store, even though she loved this store. The store worker bagged up all of the outfits for Kami.

"Thank you," Kami politely smiles, before taking the two bags and walking out of the store with the girls, thrilled to discover more styles from the different girls that Kami is surrounding herself with. 

Meanwhile, at the Kid's mansion, the boys were playing video games and talking about all of the "girly" things the girls were probably doing.

"As I said," Blackstar states, eyes glued to the TV, controller in hand, slamming away at buttons, "they're probably buying frilly, pink dresses and having a tea party with big, floppy hats, pretending they're princesses." 

"Blackstar, don't you know anything?" Kid asks, then continues to make his point, which is "you don't have to be a princess to have a tea party." With one swift move, Kid won the game against the assassin, making himself cheer out in victory, but making Blackstar groan in defeat.

Both of the boys were mocking the girls, but not Soul. No, Soul's mind is somewhere else. He was wondering what kind of clothes Kami was getting: were they girly and prissy, or were they cool like the outfit she has on today? Will they show off her curves like the tank top does? Just thinking about it makes his face heats up ever so slightly. A booming voice, belonging to none other than Blackstar breaks him out of his trance. 

"YO! SOUL!" 

"No need to shout like that, man," Soul winces, grabbing his ears. 

"Sorry, bro. It's your turn to go up against Kid," Blackstar explains.

Soul grabs the controller out of Blackstar's hand, and switches his character. Kid was really good at this particular fighting game, but Soul usually has Kid beat by a ton of points, but this time, he was so distracted by his mind going wild, that Kid actually beat him. Kid cheers at his victory once again, while Soul was just shocked. His thoughts of a girl just cost him the game.

"So uncool." He stated, bowing his head.

"So, Soul," Kid began, making Soul turn to the reaper, "what do you think the girls are doing?"

"How should I know?" Soul barked. "Do you think I'm there with them??" 

"Yea, but what do you THINK they're doing?" Blackstar persists, putting emphasis on the word "think".

"If I know Maka, they're prolly at that dumb bookstore that she likes so much," The sharp-toothed weapon guessed, shrugging his shoulders. Blackstar and Kid just laugh. 

"And what if Kami likes to read too?" Kid asked, making Soul get flustered from embarrassment.

"How did you-" He begins but is cut off by Blackstar.

"C'mon, Soul! It's obvious. And Kid will tell ya how!" Blackstar poses as if he is trying to reveal something amazing.

Kid clears his throat. "Thank you, Blackstar. You see, Soul, You never look at anyone the way you do Kami, and you haven't started acting this way until she showed up. Plus, you made yourself late for school this morning because you decided you finally wanted to be a gentleman to a girl by walking her to school. You showed her to every class today. You'd never do that for anyone else."

'He's got me there' Soul thought. 

"Alright. Ya got me. But I don't want to rush into things right now. Plus, I don't actually know if I'm in love with this girl yet. She's just gorgeous, and seeing her smile just makes me feel all melty inside," Soul pauses for a minute, just to think of Kami's smile, then quickly pulls back into reality and rebuttal with "but I don't know her that well, yet."

Kid and Blackstar look at each other and start laughing before calming down enough only to hear Kid say "that's fair". 

"Whatever you do, you cannot tell Kami or Maka or anyone else!" the blushing Soul spits out at the other two boys. 

"Well, why not?" Blackstar blurts.

"Because he would die of embarrassment, Blackstar," Kid took up for Soul.. kind of.

"Something like that." Soul looks off, thinking what would happen if anyone found out he had a lovey, soft spot in his cool heart. Soul shudders at the thought of the other students who deemed him "coolest guy in school" making fun of him for swooning over a stupid girl. Soul would rather not think about it. 

"We promise we won't say anything," Kid puts his hand over his heart, signaling a promise, then the perfectionist looks over at Blackstar, "isn't that right, Blackstar?"

Blackstar crosses his arms, looking away. "Yea, whatever." 

"Thanks guys," Soul relaxes in slight relief. "Now, I call a rematch now that I'm not distracted."

Kid looks determined. "You're on!"

Hello, my lovelies! Here's chapter seven for you, actually on time for once! (Yay). I hope you guys, gals, and theys enjoy reading this chapter, considering Soul is actually opening up about his feelings a little bit, and we see the soft side of him more than what we've been seeing. I certainly enjoyed writing it, even though I know it's a little shorter than normal. (I was kinda on a time crunch, determined to get a chapter out this weekend, but so unmotivated to write). I am still taking requests on this book; in all honesty, I had a crap ton of ideas for it, then they just kinda flew out the window, never to be seen again. Like I know where I want this book to go, like I have an end goal. I just don't know how to build up to it for now. So if you have ideas, let me know, and I'll be happy to make it happen. 

Well, in other news, I am starting up my one shots book from WAYYY back when, so if you haven't already, go check that out. I do have a piece that I am extremely proud of that I wrote years ago. I included it in that book. But I do have a crap ton of ideas for that book (when I really should have a crap ton of ideas for this one instead xD kill me). Some of these ideas include the current one shot I'm working on, which is a Kid x reader. I also have some Sans x reader (Undertale) ideas, some Aizawa x reader (MHA) ideas, Beetlejuice x reader (Beetlejuice the musical) ideas, and much more. However, even through all of these ideas, I am still taking requests and will be more than happy to take ideas and put them on paper.. screen... for you in story form! So if you're interested, go and check it out, and leave a comment on what you might wanna see out of that book in the future!
