Chapter 7: Encyclopedia

Sora's POV

"Good afternoon, class!" bati ng professor namin.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am!" bati namin sa professor namin at yumuko.

Umupo na kami pagkatapos.

Nasa M-101 room ako ngayon, sa usual seat ko at nakikinig lang sa professor namin.

"I am teaching you the history of magic."

Wait, I know that!

"Who knew where and how the magic begins? Everyone?"

Tumaas ako ng kamay kaya tinawag ako.

Tumayo naman ako at nagsimulang magkuwento.

"About 200 to 300 million years ago, there are cities and islands that was existed. The Hell island, a fire island, the Atlantis island, a water island, the Luminous City, a light city and other specific places. That means a long time ago, magic already exists.

But for some unknown reasons, those cities and islands submerged. Until almost 200 years ago, they float again.

There are many theories about why those places submerged and floated again after almost 200 million years.

One of them is the Continental Drift Theory which is known 300-500 years ago. In this theory, the submerged cities and islands were explained but it still unknown why they were floated again so it is still a theory."

Umupo agad ako matapos kong sabihin iyon.

Kaya nga lang, napansin ko na natahimik sila.

Ang professor naman namin ay nakanganga.

W-Why? D-Did I said something wrong?

She coughed fakely at ngumiti.

"Can you clap your hands with the new student?"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ng professor.

What?! Why?! What's going on?

Nang mag-settled na sila, nagsalita ang professor.

"Ang Continental Drift Theory, kung science ang subject, ay matututunan ninyo, ay 3rd year high school but in terms of magic, matututunan mo iyon, next year. Ibig sabihin, on your 2nd year in college pa ito mapapag-aralan."

Eh?!

"Iyon ay kasama ng iba pang theories. Say, nakakapagbabasa ka ba ng libro?" tanong ng professor kaya tumango ako.

"And gaano kakapal ang libro na binabasa mo?" tanong niya ulit.

Hmm...

"Ang pinakamakapal na libro po na nabasa ko ay encyclopedia," sagot ko.

"Woah!" react ng mga kaklase ko.

Eh?!

"At ilang araw mo iyon kayang tapusin?" tanong ng professor.

"1."

"One day?" Nanlalaking mga matang tanong ng mga kaklase ko.

"One hour po."

"Eeeeehhh?!" react ulit ng mga kaklase ko

Eh?!

"Depende po kung meron akong free time. Kung wala po, 'di ko po iyon mababasa. Pero hangga't maaari po ay magkakaroon po ako ng time para magbasa."

Tumango-tango naman ang aking professor nang nakangiti

"Well then, let's go back to the topic. Gaya ng sabi ni Mr. Sanchez..."

Aqua's POV

Napangiti ako. That's how the book works!

Nandito ako sa tapat ng M-101 room at nakita ko ang lalaking sumagot sa history ng magic.

At napakinggan ko ang lahat ng kaniyang sinagot sa mga tanong ng professor.

And I'm impressed!

Yes, I kinda know why he is able to answer the history of magic and its theories kasi ganyan ako noon.

But still I am impressed dahil in one hour, kaya niyang basahin ang isang encyclopedia na sobrang kapal?!

Umalis na ako sa room na iyon at lumibot sa ibang mga rooms.

But still, my mind is on that room.

"Pwede nga kayang siya ang hinahanap namin?" tanong ko sa sarili ko.
