Keshia couldn't stop fidgeting in her seat and Carly noticed. She knew Keshia was nervous about seeing Jason after so many years of being believed to be dead.

"Look, I know that you're nervous about seeing Jason after so long but Jason deserves to know that you're alive." she says.

Keshia nods. "I know he does but.."

"..but what?"

Keshia looks over at her. "What if he doesn't want to see me? What if he becomes angry with me?" she questioned. "It's been eight years." she says.

Carly glances over at her, "Eight years that you'd been held hostage by a psycho. You - You can't blame yourself for that, Keshia, it wasn't your fault." she says.

"I just- I don't know what to expect from him. He's not the same man I once knew. He's changed." she says.

Carly sighs as she pulls up to Jason's apartment building, "Well, we'll know soon enough."

Keshia looked up at the building, "Why are we at my apartment building?" she questioned.

Carly looked at her with wide eyes, "You live here?"

Keshia nods, "Yeah. Why are we here?"

"Jason lives on the third floor." she says.

Keshia looked at her in shock, "So do I." she says as they both get out of the car and head inside.

Once on the elevator, Carly spoke up again, "The two of you live in the same building and on the same floor and not once have you ran into each other?"

Keshia shook her head, "No. If I knew he was staying here I would have tried to see him sooner." she says as the elevator door opens and they step off. As Carly walks towards Jason's door, Keshia gasps, "Oh My God."

"What is it?" Carly questioned.

Keshia points to her apartment door, "I stay right across the hall from him." she gaped, "I can't believe I've been staying right across the hall from him and we've never run into each other." she says just as he door behind her opens.

"Carly, what are you doing here?" she hears his voice for the first time in eight long agonizing years.

"I thought that it was time that the two of you were reacquainted." she says.

Taking a deep breath, Keshia slowly and calmly turned around to look at a bruised up Jason, "Jason." she says as she watches his face twist up into one of shock, disbelief and bewilderment.
