Prologue

This is another konosuba X Male Reader fanfic you would find on Wattpad very often. But this is my take on it and I will try to make it as good as I possibly can. The Male Character is heavily based on me and my struggles. So sorry if he is not relatable to most of you. Now, let's start, shall we?

The alarm was ringing in a normal 3BHK apartment. A boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes slowly opened his eyes and held his phone in which the alarm was ringing. He got up and put his red glasses on.

Boy: It's 4:00 in the morning. I should make my bed.

He made up his bed and went to brush his teeth.

Boy: 'My name is Kōkai Yurishi. I am 17 years old. Are you wondering why I woke up so early in the morning? I am in the last year of high school. It is the career-defining year in my country. I have to give my entrance exam this year as well. Which is the entire course of the last two years of High school. So, Yeah... I am trying my best to get good grades so that I can get into a good government college. But the thing is I slacked off my entire previous year of Hight school and don't know half what's been taught this year.

Kokai rinsed and got ready to take a bath.

Kokai: 'I lied to my parents that my studies are going well. They have high expectations from me. But little do they know that I am lying. Honestly, I feel like crap lying to them. But seeing their happy faces makes me want to lie so that they can have happiness, though temporary. I feel like shit every day because of that'.

The water flows down Kokai's partly chubby body. He is rubbing himself so that he can feel a little warmth.

Kokai: 'I don't even look healthy. I gained so much weight in these years. My grandfather. My inspiration died when I was 14. My father has also changed a little due to that. Grandpa had a good position in the corporate office and my father does as well. My mom is also at an honorary post as a teacher. My neighbors also have high expectations from me.'

He turns off the shower tap and wraps his towel around his waist. He opened the door and came out of the bathroom. He saw his father coming out of the bedroom at the same time.

Father: Good Morning son.

Kokai felt a pit forming in his stomach remembering how he lies to his father about his studies ever so often. But he greeted his father with the biggest grin he could muster.

Kokai: Good Morning Father.

Father: I see you woke up early to study again. That's great.

The pit was now greater than before, only Kokai knew what was the reality. But he just mustered a slight hum.

Kokai went to his room and got ready to study.

He took out his physics text-book. As it was his weakest subject.

Kokai: Seriously, I am a medical student. What would I do of physics? Measure the pressure of someone's urine that is high due to kidney stones. Well, anyway.

Kokai continued to read physics for the next two hours. Now, the time is 6:30 Am.

Kokai: Oh it's time for school.

Kokai packed his bag and changed into his school clothes. He came out of his room to see his mom and dad on the dining table with his cup of coffee ready.
