AN: I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while, I had written a new chapter but it accidentally got deleted, and then I was on a short holiday. On a more positive note, thank you all so much for 1.2k reads, it means so much!
Alfie's POV:
After the scan I'd decided to take Zoe for a walk along the beach because the sea air would calm her down.
We walked to the end of Brighton Pier and stood there. Hand in hand, just looking out to sea. The nerves of what was to come tingled through me and as I shivered Zoe looked up at me and grinned.
I walked her into a small ice-cream shop, and we sat in the booth nearest the window with a view out over the sea.
I turned to face her and placed a hand on the leg. Her slightly ombred short hair windswept from the sea breeze, bold red lips glistening in the afternoon sun. As she turned round to face me, our lips collided. Passion filled the booth. I could feel a smile appearing on her lips.
We parted when the waitress came to take our order,
"What can I get you two Love Birds?" she chuckled.
"Two chocolate sundaes please" Zoe said, her cheeks blushing with embarrassment.
"I love you Zoe and our little boy", I whispered as the waitress left. "Excuse me, can we have those to go?" I called to the waitress.
"Of course, no problem" she called back.
"Where are we going?" Zoe asked.
"To the beach" I replied
