Chapter 1: Protagonist Felicia

The popular romance fantasy novel "Forbidden Affair" takes place in the Kingdom of Arendell.

In this novel Felicia, the protagonist was an orphan gifted with a rare nullifying magic.

When she happens to pass by Earl Garrison's territory. She encountered a B-class beast and using her magic, was able to nullify and counterattack the beast. Earl Garrison who was doing an inspection with the other Garrison knights took in Felicia after witnessing her abilities. He helped her harness and control her powers, gave her food and proper accommodations. He and his family treated Felicia like their own.

Felicia who was 14 years old was then sent to the prestigious elite academy called "Solace Academy". There she met various obstacles to overcome and finally after series of ups and downs, she captured the heart of the crown prince, Prince Charles Arendell the current ruler of Arendell.

Prince Charles in the novel was two years older than Felicia and was described as sociable, a genius and charming prince. He took a liking to the strong and gentle Felicia after watching her help and support the commoners against the other nobles. It is common for a majority of the nobility to look down on the lower class after all.

Prince Charles would often meet and talk to Felicia around the campus. They could be seen walking side-by-side and be the subject of rumors.

Julianna Cavier was a duke's daughter and fiancée of the crown prince. When the rumor circulated around the academy, it was Julianna who confronted Felicia to stay away from the prince but the person in question(prince) kept sticking to her(Felicia) not minding the gossiping bystanders.

It resulted in a way that everyone in the academy was already aware but no one minded refusing to getting involve and just watch on the sidelines on how the events unfolded.

Julianna then though of ways to humiliate Felicia by challenging her be it in grade or magic to stake her claim as the crown prince fiancé but would always lose to her.

Every defeat Julianna receive would always make the heroine shine and show her prowess to the whole school. Using every challenge as a stepping stone to prove other's her worth and eventually everyone was in awe with Felicia not exempting the prince.

Felicia would always be first in their grade and be the admiration of everyone. While Julianna would be pitied or ridiculed by others. It was not a surprise given how Julianna who was beautiful and intelligent but was haughty and self-centered . She would look down on others and talk behind their backs. Oftentimes she would be seen abusing her status as the duke's daughter to get what she wanted.

After 4 years of losing with Felicia, Julianna who was a prideful person was continuously humiliated and shamed by others. She was vexed by the though of others comparing her an adopted commoner.

Her ego that was trampled again and again couldn't handle the embarrassment--

and, in their graduation ball, ordered one of her followers to drugged Felicia's drink and throw her into the dark forest where monsters and beasts were located. The crown prince who discovered this plan, hurriedly found the unconscious Felicia in the deepest part of the forest and ordered his guards to arrest Julianna who was hiding.

Feeling sorry for Julianna who was his childhood friend and knew of her temperament was drag down because of his feelings for Felicia. Prince Charles decided to cover up the incident in exchanged of canceling their engagement. Although he was still upset, disappointed and a bit guilty, he cannot stop his feeling towards Felicia and though that this was the best solution for everyone.

Duke Cavier, Julianna's father who heard about the incident decided to comply with the prince's wishes.

He was upset with him but he cannot voice his opposition towards the royalty when even the King and Queen readily agreed.

He could only send Julianna to the neighboring kingdom where his parents resided, to lay low.

He didn't want for her daughter to leave but considering how her engagement with the crown prince was just called off and the rumors circulating that she wanted to kill Lady Felicia, still needed to be suppress.

He also needs to keep the Cavier's reputation. Scandals like this won't only damage his daughter but their family as well.

Months after that incident happen, Julianna decided to live and stay with her grandparents who spoilt their beloved granddaughter immensely.

The crown prince officially announces his new engagement with Felicia. Unlike Julianna who was dislike by the masses, they preferred Felicia more. And also because of this that no one opposed their engagement.

The king and queen, Prince Charles' parents happily accepted Felicia as their daughter-in-law. The queen was still disappointed that Julianna who she watched grow up to be an elegant and fine lady, didn't become her daughter-in-law but considering her son's happiness and Felicia's talents and temperament, the queen decided to accept the new changes.

The king will also step down of from his position and after 2 years when Prince Charles was done with his training to be his successor, he would officially crown Prince Charles as the new ruler.
