you were apart of the scout regiments. that was the one thing you wanted to become the most, and you did end up becoming it. your expectations were ruined though. being in the scout regiment was scary, sad and just difficult.

seeing your friends and teammates getting eaten by titans outside the walls. those kind of sights led to nightmares and trauma. who was the person to help you through all that though? jean.

you suddenly wake up sweating and sniffling. mikasa was sleeping under the top bunk bed (if that makes sense 🤨) where you happened to be seated at.

"(y/n), are you okay?" she asks, concerned. "of course, no worries." you manage to respond in between sniffles. mikasa, still being worried for you, held your hand in an attempt to comfort you. you felt loved in that moment, but not enough as the worst flashbacks of your nightmare came back.

mikasa, starting to get sad for you, asked in absolute honesty:
    "what can i do to help you (y/n)?" you start thinking seriously and say: "please cover my absence. i think i'm going to see jean to make myself feel better."
she didn't hesitate to agree and helped you climb down the bunk bed. you smile at her and slowly but surely started walking to the boys dorm room.

you arrive at your destination and open the door. luckily for you, the door didn't make a creaking noise or anything. you scan the room to find jean's face. little did you know, he was awake, waiting for you, knowing you would come to him.

you silently run to him, lay down and bury your face in his chest. he covers both of your bodies with the bedsheet and hugs your body closer to him.

jean whispers in the most silent voice he could have, trying not to wake up anyone:
    "nightmare again?" you slowly nod and wipe most of your tears in his t-shirt. he hated seeing you like this. just seeing you sad in general broke his heart. his grip to you became tighter as he kissed your head. while doing that, he silently confessed:
     "(y/n)? i think i like you. it has been a moment since i figured that out. simply seeing you makes me so happy. i don't want to lose you and i might after this confession but at least i took my shot."

you clearly couldn't believe what he just told you. while getting your head out of his chest and covers, you look deeply in his eyes as he does too. there was a unexplainable tension between you two, and you both could feel it. you kiss him passionately, as a way to respond to his confession.

you put your hand on one of his cheeks as he puts one of his on your waist. the kiss lasted for a long moment as you both pull out to breath. you try your best to not breath too loudly.

you start feeling sleepy and completely forget about your nightmare. a simple confession from jean made you feel better. he holds your head from behind and smiles at how lucky he was.

he started getting sleepy too and fell asleep, still holding you close to him. LITTLE DID YOUUU KNOW, connie and eren heard all of that. eren was crying of jealousy while connie was crying from how sweet you both were.
