Chapter 18

"I can't wait to get to the bitch," Tae said as he dragged Jimin along with him.

Jimin sought to correct him, saying, "It's beach, Tae, not bitch."

"Bitch," Tae said, looking puzzled at Jimin and then at me. I was trying hard not to laugh at him.

"For God's sake, it's beach," Jimin groaned.

Jin appeared and said, "B. E. A. C. H., Beach."

As he said it, I busted out laughing.

"Oops, sorry," I said as I smiled at them. That's when I discovered Jin containing a large bag. 

What the heck is going on? Are we going to settle there or what? I was staring at the bag with interest.

"That's some snacks and our clothing," Jin said, as my eyes brightened up at the mention of the word 'SNACKS.'

"Is everyone here?" Namjoon said, counting the number of heads.

"Wait, why is it eight rather than seven?"

"Yo, I'm included, that's why," I said, unimpressed.

"Oh right, sorry I forgot," Namjoon mused as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Off to the bitch," Tae and I yelled at the top of our lungs as we raced towards the vehicle.

"It's beach, stupid," Jimin said as he trailed us. Tae reciprocated my grin with "Jiminie Pabo."

"Yes, shortie. I'm going to drown both of you on the beach. Take care."

"Should I be afraid?" I wondered to Tae.

"Says the smallest member of the group," Kook grinned at Jimin before taking both my and Tae's hands.

Jin was driving us, while Namjoon was beside him, checking the GPS. I was sandwiched between Hoseok and Suga, with the rest of the makneas sitting behind us. They all donned masks, as did I. The journey was enjoyable. They continued to sing for a bit, and then Namjoon began talking about something no one knows about.

We arrived at our destination, 'THE BITCH,' after an hour. We ended up moving to the opposite side of the beach, where the tourists were few. As soon as I stepped out of the vehicle, I kicked off my shoes and dashed towards the beach.

I love the sea. I like listening to the waves. I like searching for shells. I like how the chilly wind brushes over my skin... It has a lovely aroma. Just looking at the water allows me to slip into something tranquil and hopeful. It helps me feel lighter and takes my mind off everything else.

"Hey, why didn't you wait for us?" Jimin said, pouting.

"I'm happy."

We were both standing there, letting the waves wash over us.

"Let's jump," Tae and Jungkook said as they dashed into the water.

Except for Suga, who was enjoying a pleasant slumber while Namjoon was busy gathering crabs, the others were already in the sea. I walked over to assist him with the crabs and sort of regretted it since he was explaining everything about the crabs.

I felt compelled to wake the sleeping boy. With a malicious smile, I grabbed the empty bottle alongside Namjoon, filled it with seawater, and proceeded towards the sleeping figure. I sprayed water in his face and said, “It's a Tsunami, flee for your life!”

As he rushed towards the car, he startled me awake and grabbed my hands. I wasn't expecting this, fuck. I expected him to scream and sprint towards the vehicle, not take me with him. I'm completely done. I supposed this was my final day in this lovely world. Goodbye, world!

"Where are the others? The key?" He yelled at me as I suppressed my laughter. 

"About that," I said meekly, smiling at him. He released his grip on my wrist and stared at me. "Do not say you-" Without wasting a second, I bolted from him before he could show me what hell is like.

I should run away, but where should I go? I was not going to drown in the sea, was I? A decent run will suffice. I took a step farther away from them. Unfortunately, after a safe distance, I sat down to attempt to regulate my heavy breath.

I sat there, taking in the scenery. I heard someone yell out my name. When I turned around, Tae and Jimin were racing towards me.

"Thank God, I worried you were abducted," Jimin said as he sat down next to me.

"You should have let us know where you went. Look, you've made all of us nervous. I even pictured her dying in the water and sinking." Tae seemed alarmed.

Tae grinned at me as he said, "But then Namjoon hyung saw you fleeing away from a grumpy monster."

"What was it all about?" Jimin inquired.

I accidentally spilled the tea to them.

"That was the case... I can see how you're going to die. Remember that we loved you and will miss you." Jimin brushed away his unnoticed tears.

"I completely agree with Jimin. You are in peril." Tae seemed worried.

"You people are terrifying me. I don't want to die so young, so please save me." I pretended to cry.
