I  sat down on the couch in their green room and made myself at home. To pass the time, I began listening to some of their songs. Even when listening to their songs, I couldn't help but grin.

My phone died after a few minutes, and I was immediately distracted by the mirror.

I wasn't very attractive, to begin with, but the lighting enhanced my natural beauty. My gaze was drawn to the reflection of my ring. It brought back memories of those times…

Flashback

I kept looking at my ceiling, fighting the impulse to hurl my alarm clock, which was disrupting my lovely slumber. I dragged myself into the restroom to freshen up. While eating my bread and butter, I dashed outdoors, neglecting to check the weather prediction since I was running late for work.

I rushed with all my strength to my office. My supervisor was waiting for me with great patience. I smiled at him and wished him good morning.

"Rose, don't overwork yourself. You'd best look after yourself. " He gave me a kind grin. He was the finest boss I could have hoped for.

So, my name is Rose, and here is how my life has been. I had a great friend called Sophie who I met while I was in my freshman year. And, guess what, she attempted to murder me a few weeks ago for reasons I was unaware of. She ran away, and the cops are doing all they can to find her. I ended up with a sprained ankle and a few scratches here and there. That's why my supervisor was concerned about me.

Even as a kid, I went through something similar and ended up shutting myself away. That's when I met Sophie and realized she wasn't like the others. But I was mistaken.

It's simply that I ended up trusting people too much, giving them too much importance, and being hurt by them. It was because I was blinded by friendship and trust, and it was difficult for me to blame them. I eventually came to blame myself for everything.

I sat behind the desk, invoicing and wrapping orders. That's exactly what I had to do. I like it when children beg for sweets while their mothers refuse. I ended up giving them out for free and subsequently paying for them with my own money. Those were the most beautiful grins. Not to add that people either pitied me or were unpleasant to me. What should I do? The only thing I could think of was to grin.

My shift ended at 5 p.m. Despite the long working hours, I used to walk home, savoring every moment. But luck was not on my side today. It had to be pouring severely, and the greatest thing was that I didn't have an umbrella with me. As a result, I ended up wandering in the rain. I liked the earthy fragrance of rain when it fell to the ground because it refreshed my spirit. And I didn't like being wet in the rain. But did I really have a choice? Certainly not.

It took me approximately 30 minutes to get close to my residence. Was there a vehicle parked in front of my house? Who could they possibly be? I rarely had visitors, who were they?

A lot of questions were bothering me.

I took rapid strides, opened my gates, and dashed in. Finally, I'm not going to be drenched. I let my backpack fall to the ground with care. And began digging in my pocket for the key.

"Uhm, excuse me?" I heard a voice and turned to face the speaker. There was a tall guy wearing a mask.

"Yes," I said with a grin.

"I work for a well-known South Korean firm, and our boys were drawn to this tranquil environment. So, do you mind if our boys stay here for a few days before their concert date? My name is Sejin, by the way. Sejin, the manager."

"Uhm… How can I put my faith in you?" I drew my gaze away from him.

"Aah, about that," he said, handing me a business card that read: BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT ltd. I had been looking at the card for quite some time. I returned his stare and nodded slowly.

"So, is it yes or no?" he said, his eyes bright and optimistic.

"Let me think about it for a moment. I'll notify you before the end of the day. " I gave him a kind grin.

"If that's the case, here's my personal number," he scrawled on a scrap of paper and handed it to me. "We'll be waiting for your call," he bowed, as I stood there perplexed by his move.

Did he just bow his head to me?

"I didn't catch your name, miss?" He gradually removed his mask, revealing himself.

"Oh, yes, I'm sorry. Rose here. " I gave him a kind grin. He returned the grin and walked away.

Should I let them stay here?
