JUMPED OUT OF SKIN

I gasped in shock from the sight in front of my eyes. Like, it is even possible?  it reminds me of the horror movies we  see on TV. My breath is caught in my lungs, coldness is spreading in my veins, feels like my entire world has come to a stop as if time has frozen for me. I never thought I will ever watch this sight.

[Diana's P.O.V:-]

Fingers coated with blood are laying on the grass. Splashes of blood on the grass look like rusty old paint.

As I turned around I felt a train of cold breeze around me. I can't understand what's happening around me. It's just weird and scary. I am still stunned by the sight that I saw. I still can't believe it. I am scared right now, just wanna reach home as soon as possible. So, I started walking. I haven't even taken two steps properly when I saw that again. This time it is ears coated with blood, one of them has an earring on it. My fears are creeping back, spreading negativity in me. I am no more warm all I can feel is coldness, feels like if I stay here any longer I might blackout. I haven't even realized that I was running until I was breathless. I slowed my pace and turned around to see if anything or anyone is there. My breath got hitched in my throat from the sight. I saw a group of something or probably someone in all black. In one swift motion, everybody disappeared except one. In fear, I start running as fast as possible. As soon as I reached home I closed the door and made sure it is locked properly. I am breathless, tired, sweaty, and panting. I haven't even realized that I am sitting on the floor until now.

Aunt Jenny came toward me with a worried look.

" What happened? Is anything wrong? Are you okay?" she said in a panicked voice and worry is written all over her face. I just hugged her and stayed like that for a moment before saying " I am fine. Just got scared."

" Don't worry darling. I am always here for you." She said while hugging tightly.

I got up and went to my room. Changed into comfortable clothes. After eating our dinner and chatting for about half an hour. My eyelids feel too heavy to be kept open. So, I got up and said goodnight to my aunt before making my way to my room.

As I was about to sleep the, thought of today's event came to my mind. I haven't even told my aunt about it. Should I tell her? or just forget about it? but what I saw today is too hard to forget. I think I should just relax now. So, I open Spotify and hit on the play button. The first song is fever by Dua Lipa and Angele. I know this song was released in the year 2020 but I like old songs. They are so good. As I heard the music, a smile made it's way to my lips. I love this song.

* a shrill sound *

I got up in a panic. I look around for the lamp but there is no lamp. I can neither move my hands nor my legs. I am tied to a chair, after looking at my surroundings. I realised I am not in my room. It's dark here, the only source of light is a small hole on the wall from which the moonlight is coming. Nothing can be seen except a dark figure and only a clank sound can be heard. I tried to untie myself but it's not working. So, I decided to ask that person for help since I have no option.

" Hello?" I said more like a question.

" Can you please help me? I don't belong here." I said with knit brows and hope in my mind. I didn't get any response. So, I tried to talk with that person for a minute but it seems like that person doesn't care as if that person is dead or a stone or I am not even here. This is so ridiculous. Oh, God! How can someone act like that?
