Chapter six

'HUFFLEPUFF!' the sorting had yells trough the great hall. The Hufflepuff table starts to clap. ' Parker Rose' Professor McGonagall says. I can see how nerves she is. There is only a bit of colour on her face and her hands are shaking. Her eyes look through the hall when they meet mine. I gif here a smile trying to calm her down. She takes a seat on the stool. McGonagall places the had on her head. The sorting had starts to mumble. 'GRYFFINDOR' yells the had. Rose smiles and takes a seat next to me. 'welcome' Percy says immediately. 'I'm Percy Weasley Gryffindor head boy. It will be my pleasure to show you around the castle.' Rose shakes Percy's hand. 'I-.... Ehum' she looks at me asking for help. 'it's oke Percy I will show her around.' I say. 'but that is my job Skyler.' Percy's says. 'does it look like I give a dam fuck about that?' 'no' he says awkwardly. 'good' I smile at him what makes him walk away. 'thanks' Rose says relieved. The twins laugh. 'yeah our brother is a bit weird' Fred says. 'a bit?' George ask. We start to laugh when Dumbledore stands up. 'Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts, just like every year I want to mention that the forest is forbidden for every student.' His gaze glanced at the twins and me for a moment. We like to go into the forest it is so quiet and peaceful. ' I also have a somewhat less pleasant announcement. You probably already noticed that the train is searched by dementors. This year Hogwarts will be secured by the dementors from Azkaban. On behalf of the minister. They are by every entrance to the site. Dementors are insensitive creatures that is why I warn you gif them no reason to harm you. Be careful. My third announcement and last is that I want to welcome our new professor defence against the dark arts: Remus Lupin.' the man who sends the dementor in the train away stands up. The hall applauds and I laugh at the sight of Snape's face. 'and it is my pleaser to announce that Hagrid will be the professor Care of Magical Creatures. Good luck professors!' the Gryffindor table went wild when Dumbledore announced that Hagrid would be our professor. The food appears on the tables. I look at rose whose eyes went big. 'wow' she says softly. I look at my food but are not really hungry. 'sky why you're not eating?' George asks worried. I look up 'just not very hungry' 'but you have to eat something.' He put a piece of chicken on my plate. 'eat.' He says strict. I sign but start to eat. The dessert appears on the table. I just take a bit of ice cream. Dinner ends when Dumbledore stands up again. 'dear students before you leave I want you to be careful. Sirius Black isn't just a criminal so don't go looking for him.' He looks at me for a minute. Then now you can follow you, head girl and boy, back to your common room.' Everybody stands up and try to follow there head boy and girl. During the walk I hear several people talk about the gossip of the child off Sirius Black. I stop walking when I hear a group of second year talk about the fact that they scared of the child. 'sky what is it?' Fred asks 'I ehum nothing.' I shake my head and walk further. When we enter the common room I immediately walk to my dorm. Instead of four beds there are standing five now. Luckily my bed is still the one most closed to the window. I never had a lot of contact with my dorm mates. Only Angelina because we play quidditch together. I let myself fall on my bed. People are scared of me. That is the only thing that goes through my mind. The door opens and the other girls walks in. 'hello there Skyler.' Angelina says. I site up 'hello there how was your holiday?' 'it was nice I went to Italy with my parents. And yours?' 'It was fine' I answer. Nobody has to know that it was a horror holiday. That the people who should take care of me beat the hell out of me every time I put a toe wrong. Rose walks to the bed next to me 'is this one taken?' I shake my head 'be my guest.' She smiles. I get u from my bed and start unpacking my trunk. The times flies and it is 00:30 am when I return to my dorm. I met up with the twins in the common room. I open the door of the dorm and see all the others asleep. I get dressed in a t-shirt of one of the twins and a sleep short. The moment my head touches my pillow I fall asleep.

I walk through a dark hallway following the screams of my best friends. I start running I open the door of a classroom. There he stands Sirius Black my father. Fred lays passed out on the floor. My father is standing behind George who has multiple wounds on his face. My father looks at me with an evil grin on his face. 'there you are Skyler my dear.' He says. 'let them go' I say. My voice is shaky and tears are forming behind my eyes. My father starts laughing. 'oh honey off course not. You don't need them.' 'I do I do need them.' My father looks at me and shakes his head. 'no you don't.' he waves with his wand and a deep cut appears in George's throat. My father laughs when George body falls to the ground. 'NO! I yell en run to George his body. But I'm too late.

I wake up with a start and immediately sit up in bed. I breathe restlessly but try to calm down. 'It was just a dream sky' I whisper to myself. I get out of bed and but on my Convers. I take my leather jacket and walk to the school garden. I site against a tree. My tree I like to call it. It's a tree far from the more popular places in the garden. This tree stands close to the back lake my feet's can almost touch the water. My breath is still shaky so I light up a cigarette trying to calm myself down. The time past and I walk back to my dorm through the dark and silent hallways. 'Miss Mckinnon?' I hear a voice. 'shit' I whisper. I turn around and see professor lupin. 'how do you know my name? you don't know me.' 'I know much more bout you than you think Skyler Mckinnon. Or do I need to say Skyler Black?' I look at him with big eyes. 'What-... how-..' 'how I know that Sirius is your father?'I nod . 'come then we go to my office then I can tell you everything while I gif you a cup of tea.' I nod and in silence we walk to his office. He opens de door and points at a chair. 'take a seat' I site down on the chair and watch as he makes a cup of tea. 'how do you know my real name?' 'I know you a lot longer than you think Skyler. I know you since the day you were born. September 13 1978. With that I know that you are an exception on the rule. When you went to Hogwarts were you only ten years old.' I look at him in disbelieve. 'did you know my parents?' He smiles 'if I know them. Yeah I know them. Sirius was one of my best friends and with Marlene the same.' I nod slowly. 'what happened that night why did they leave me?' professor lupin signs and starts to tell his story.

I look at my hands. 'So my father killed one of his friends and betrayed them and my mother was a death eater?' 'I'm not sure about your mother Skyler. I have the feeling that she has been framed.' I nod slowly. 'it's better if you go back to your dorm Skyler.' I stand up ready to walk back to my dorm. 'one last thing Skyler.' I turn around. 'know that your parents loved you so much.'
