Annabeths pov:

His fist connected with the Dracaena, sending her back a few steps, but not before she swung her spear, the butt of it slamming across his face. With a shout, he fell on his side, swinging out his legs and kicking one of her snake trunks hard. She hissed in pain, and the demigod grabbed her spear, yanking it out of her hands and pointing it at her.

Somewhere in the back of her head, Annabeth wondered why he didn't have a weapon. She had already assumed this was Connor, because he was identical to future Travis and looked just like past Travis, but he was unarmed int he middle of a war. Why? What had happened?

Bringing herself back to the present, she watched as if almost in slow motion, Connor jabbed the spear straight through her breastplate, and into her lungs, or whatever snake ladies had in the general breast area. Maybe they had three boobs. Annabeth really didn't want to know.

Turning around, the change of facial expressions on his face almost made Annabeth want to laugh, but before he could say anything future Travis ran up and started explaining things, though not how Annabeth would have done it herself.

"...and then Chiron was all like "yeah your in the past" and I totally fell and ate it when I was fighting the hellhound but we're gonna forget that, and it was so cool man I-"

"Travis shut up" Annabeth finally said, sighing. We need to talk about the war, with Kronos and whoever else wanted to destroy the world

He made a sad look at her, and Katie giggled a bit. Annabeth smiled. It was very obvious she and Travis liked each other, and even though Katie could be pretty mean to him, he would always go back to her, like a lost puppy.

Thinking about crushes, Annabeth looked over at Percy.

It had taken her a while to finally admit to herself she liked Percy, and now that she had it had opened a new light on him she hadn't been able to see before. Sure, he was a little scrawny, had a little acne, and was shorter than her, but as she looked at him now, making a spaghetti tower, she couldn't help but smile. As if sensing her gaze, he looked up. He smiled, and her heart skipped a beat. The way his cheeks dipped a bit when he smiled, his green eyes crinkling, Annabeth felt as if her chest was expanding.

Then, right when she was about to mouth something to him, a voice said her name.

"...and Annabeth and her boyfriend are-"

She whipped her head back to where Connor and Travis were talking.

"I'm sorry my what?!" she asked, chest pounding. Who was it? Was it Percy?

Connors eyes widened as he realized what he said, but kept going.

"Yeah you and your boyfriend are the two main leaders in our war."

"Who is he?" Surprisingly, it was Percy asked, a frown on his face. A few of the Aphrodite girls giggled, and noticing what he did, he said

"I'm just kinda curious."

Oh.

Annabeth sighed, turning back to a grinning Travis and Connor. Now she was just annoyed.

"So? Who is he?" she demanded.

"Well..." said Travis.

"We don't want to tell you right now." Finished Connor.

Before she could shout at them or throw a plate at them, maybe both, a bright flash came, and someone fell right on top of Percys pasta.

Someone and a part of someone.

That someone was holding a head.
