"Alright, I'm done." Elena says while finishing setting Hope up to the heart monitor.

"Me too. It's time." Bonnie says.

Hope lays down on our bed with no shirt on so that we could put the the electrodes on her torso and chest. I sit next to her holding onto her hand.

"You ready?" Uncle Damon asks.

"Ready, as I'll ever be. So I do have a question; while I'm asleep or whatever what're you guys going to do?"

"Mainly just watch you to make sure nothing happens. Lizzie, MG, Jed and Kaleb are watching the twins at the school. So the rest of us are going to just sit here."

"Cool, cool."

Bonnie stands up with a smile then standing up setting her hands above Hope's body. Hope nods then Bonnie says the spell and Hope's eyes close and that's when Elena turns the monitor on. A steady fills the room and I glance at the green line every once and a while. I see Hope's eyes move under her lids, and it helps ease the fact that she looks like she's in a coma.

"Her heart rates steady so as of right now she's calm and not fighting. Just walking from what I can tell."

"I know it's scary Josie, but Hope's strong she'll make it. I know it." Uncle Enzo says.

"Thank you. I just worry cause of her martyr complex. She says that she does it because she feels she has to make up for what her father has done in his past. And her parents and uncle sacrificed themselves for her."

"Seems like it runs in the family."

We wait for hours, and hours. I think that between everything the not knowing where she is or being able to help her is worse. All I can do is pray that she'll live and wake up. Like she promised. I rub the back of her hand with my thumb and I glance at our clock. It's been three hours she's been asleep and nothing has happened.

Then the beeping from the monitor quickens.

"She's running. I can't exactly tell but I'm pretty sure she's running or fighting."

"What the hell?" Mom asks lifting Hope's right arm where a huge bruise starts blossoming on her arm.

"That doesn't look good."

I look at her face and I see as her fingers twitch on both hands then blood heavily drips from her ears and nose. Her eyebrows pull together in discomfort.

"I would say fighting."

"Shush Damon."

"Come on, Hope. Come back to me." I plead brushing her out of her face.

I watch as cuts and bruises form all over body when suddenly a deep gash cuts across her chest in an x. The monitor is going crazy, lights are flickering and blood spills out the side of her mouth.

It feels like things are stopping for a bit while we wait hours more. By the time she starts moving again it's 1 in the afternoon. Her fingers seem to grip something by the way her body moves and twitch. Then she bolts up into a sitting position leaning over the bed coughing harshly with blood coming out.

"Oh damn." Enzo says covering his eyes.

Hope takes in a deep breath then sits up, and I tackle her in a tight hug hiding my face in her neck. Her arms wrap around my torso comforting me, which feels amazing to be held by her again.

"You came back to me."

"I promised didn't I? Now, I know where the monster is I dragged him back into reality. We just have to get him then kill him."
