The Bad Side of Things

Chapter 11

Hope's POV:

I walk through the big portal and when I fully step through all I see is woods, but not the same woods I was just in with Josie and the others. It seems greener and more magical then other places I've been to. I feel magic and wonder vibrating off of everything around me, like I'm surrounded by a magic I don't recognize. 

I hear someone walk up behind me, and before they touch my shoulder I grab them and flip them onto their back with me over them. I look down at a girl with a quiver and bow and hair brown similar to Josie's with blue eyes dark like an ocean. 

"Who the hell are you?" I say through my teeth. 

"I was told to come get you because it's been said you're going to be the one to save our land from Kai Parker." 

I get off of her and hold my hand out to her, and she adjusts her cloak as she straightens her stance. 

"My names Robin, Robin Locksley. I'm named after my father." 

"Hope, Hope Mikaelson. You said that I was destined to be here. Who said I was going to be here?" 

"There's an ancient scroll that dictated your arrival to this land, and I was sent to find you by my father  Locksley." 

"So what is this place called?"

"Well we are in the Enchanted Forest and Kai Parker has found a way to overthrow the king and queen of this world now it is a place of darkness."

"Sounds about right."

"You don't seem too surprised about the whole impending doom thing." 

"I'm used to this type of thing, and I was told to come here by someone I know from where I'm from. So what do we do?"

"Well I'm here to train you, cause if I wanted to kill you I would've and Kai is very powerful since he absorbed all that dark magic he was able to take over this world instantly." 

I nod, and she gives me a kind smile, and the ground starts to shake. I try to find my footing in the loose dirt beneath, I hold onto Robin from instinct so she doesn't fall. When the shaking stops I look at Robin to make sure she is okay, but all she gives me a nod then an awkward smile. 

"Guess I should start training you so that we can kick Kai Parker's ass." 

I nod firmly and she leads me through the woods. 

-A Year Later-

I run through the woods without feeling the burn in my lungs just yet, but I know it will happen since I've been running for a while. My trousers constrict my leg movements, especially with the sword hanging from my hip. 

I take one of my knives from my boot and turn around and throw it as hard as I can. It lands a few inches from Robin's face deep into a tree trunk. She gives me a wide smile, and takes the knife as she walks toward me. 

"I think you're ready." 

"I would hope so, I'm concerned about back home though, I don't know what life will be like when I come back." 

Robin sets her gloved hand on my shoulder. 

"I promise it will all work out for the best, and if it is that bad you can always come back here."

We just kind stand there for a second then a loud boom, clouds my ears. I turn to where the castle of where Kai Parker resides. 

"We should go take care of him."
