Dr. Spencer Reid walked into the BAU office in the FBI headquarters in Quantico, Virginia with a soft smile on his face. He had just come back from a visit to his mom, who was doing seemingly better than before, which made him very happy.

"Hey pretty boy, whatcha smiling about?" Morgan greeted, patting Reid on the back. Reid chuckled as he slung his bag off his shoulder and placed it beside his seat.

"My mom... she's doing really well. I think she might actually be able to visit Virginia soon, after the doctors make sure it's okay of course, but I- I'm optimistic." He said, his smile never wavering. Spencer moved to sit down but Morgan stopped him quickly.

"That's great kid, I'm happy for you. Unfortunately we have a briefing, and Hotch said it was important. You know how he gets." Derek told Spencer. Spence nodded and they both walked over to the meeting room where Hotch, JJ, Emily, Garcia, Tara, and Rossi were.

Reid smiled at all of them before taking a coffee cup from the middle of the table, and taking a look at the files in front of him while the others looked at their tablets. He raised his eyebrow at the material in front of him, but waited for Hotch to explain what was happening. Usually Garcia would, but that's how you know this was going to be important. It made Reid's stomach turn, but hoped it wasn't something completely nerve-racking.

Hotch grabbed the tablet that Garcia had game him and gave her a small nod in thanks as he pursed his lips. "In the past year there have been 14 men who have died in the tri-state area, most of them being in Virginia." He paused to show a video of a man confessing to touching minors and another of a woman admitting that she had raped her sons best friend. It made Morgan shiver. "All of these people have been accused of statutory offenses, rape, or vigorous assaulting, but none have been prosecuted nor taken legal action against. These are justice killings and this unsub feels like taking matters into their own hands because the system most likely failed them. We have reason to believe that this unsub will be taking another life today."

The team all looked around, silent at the briefing Hotch had just given. Their thoughts were all over the place. Reid looked down at the floor for a second before looking back up. "The killer is probably a female, age range unclear but probably somewhere in her twenties."

Garcia nodded quickly before jotting that down in her 'profile' notes. Hotch agreed and took his seat beside Rossi. "Cases like this really suck don't they?" Garcia asked, quietly because she was a bit afraid to, but said it anyways.

"What do you mean, babygirl?" Morgan questioned as he raised his eyebrow.

"Well, don't take this the wrong way, people don't deserve to die... unless they do... but it must suck because this person - woman maybe - believes they're doing the right thing, but some part of you guys have to think that what she's doing may be for the greater good too." She spoke in a quick and apologetic tone, almost as if she was sorry for speaking her mind.

Emily sighed and bit the inside of her cheek before talking. "No matter how much we agree, we still have a job to do. Yeah it can be hard sometimes, but it's what we signed up for. Now I hate these kinds of people as much as the next, and it's awful that people don't get the justice they deserve most of the time, but there are boundaries... it's not up to them to decide who lives and who dies, you get what I'm saying?"

Penelope nodded and sighed, earning a soft back rub from Morgan.

"Why are we investigating this now? And where do we go from here?" JJ asked.

"The local police and other FBI sections have been working on this case since the start but now that we have a general idea of where this unsub operates, the FBI wanted us in on this to help find who exactly is doing this. And we have a few clues about who their next target might be. Garcia, go ahead." Hotch said softly.

She nodded and used the remote to flip through three separate images. "Thomas Greenwich, 57 year old white man who works as a divorce lawyer, sexually assaulted 4 of his clients and raped 2 of them. All charges were dropped seemingly after a large sum of money from his bank account was withdrawn. But he's scheduled to go to the airport approximately..." Garcia checks her watch. "2 hours ago, so he's probably long gone by now."

"I'll give him a call just in case. I have to check in with Will and the kids anyways, Henry has the flu." JJ said, walking out of the room with her phone in hand.

"Next we have Carl Simmons, 38 year old teacher for the 11th grade. He usually gets to school at 9:00 am because he doesn't have a homeroom, nor first period, which is about 45 minutes from now. Touches teenage girls and - uh - encourages them to do extra curricular activities to raise their grades." Garcia continued, it made her sick to her stomach to talk about these things, but went on. "Last we have Andrew Powers, he even sounds like a douche... 43 year old CEO of an accounting firm that has a really bad track record of keeping his hands to himself. Lots of employees have filed complaints against him, but he's rich enough so he gets to keep his job. Raped about-" Garcia paused at the number, frowning softly. "- six women, one of which died from 'natural causes' soon after she continued to go to the cops about him."

"And when does he go in for work?" Rossi asked, stroking his goatee with one hand.

"9:00 am as well sir." Garcia answered.

"How convenient..." Tara muttered, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Hm, alright. We need to split up, half of us go to the high school where Carl works at, the other half goes to the accounting firm." He stated, looking over to Hotch as the unit chief to accept.

Hotch nodded. "Reid, Prentiss, Rossi, you go to the firm. JJ, Morgan, Lewis, and I will go to the high school. Look out for any type of large vehicle that would be used to carry somebody to a secondary location. Garcia send-"

"Already on it, aaanndddd sent! Stay safe you guys and if you need anything else just call me!" Garcia told them as they walked out. Morgan informed JJ of what they were doing as they headed out to the large, glossy, black FBI cars that would take them to the location.

As Spencer walked towards the car he strapped his bulletproof vest and his gun holster on, hopping into the passenger seat of the car. Leaving the FBI HQ with determination to catch whoever was doing this.
