Clay's POV:

We lock eyes while George gives me a reassuring smile. Nick whispers to me, "we have to wait until dark, we can get him back then." I just nod at him, trying to keep my cool. "You go get the supplies and bring them closer so we can head to the Capital as soon as possible," I whisper back to him, he gives me a thumbs up and starts heading over to get the horses.

When Nick got back he saw me in the same spot I was before, I was watching the bandits, making sure none of them got close to George even though I wouldn't be able to do anything. Nick puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder indicating that we would get him out of there.

We sat there until it started to quiet down and get dark, a scowl across my face the entire time. Once the time was right, I put my mask over my face. People say that it makes me even more intimidating, and I believed it so I always carry my mask with me just in case. I unsheath my sword and sneak over to where George was. Nick scouts out the area with his dagger in hand, just in case of any night owls.

I put my hand on George's cheek, having him look at me. I pulled the blindfold off and he looked at me with relief. I take my sword and cut all the ropes off of him, then Nick suddenly runs over to us breathing heavily. "We need to go, NOW," I quickly pick up George in a haste and we run back to the supplies. I set him on his horse, knowing that the horse is well trained and would take care of George. I heard shouts from behind us yelling. But I couldn't make out what they were saying.

We rode away for about an hour, I looked over to check on George once in a while, he was clutching the reins and leaning over the horse, his head on the horse's neck. I want to reach out but I can't, it'll only frighten him further.

Once we came to a complete stop he wouldn't let go of the reins so Nick and I had to pry his hands off of them. We helped him down and I took my hands over his shaking ones. His breathing was quickening. "George..." I say soothingly, "try to match my breathing okay?" I pull him close and put his head on my chest.

His breathing slowed down and sure enough, he was breathing somewhat normally again. "I don't want to go through that again," George says. "Agreed," Nick says. "But let's rest here for a while, we should be far enough away to the point they won't chase after us."

"I can go get some firewood," I say. Nick shakes his head at me, "No, I'll grab it, you stay with George." After that, he walks off. I sit down on the forest floor bringing George with me. I bring him closer to my chest, he wraps his arms around me like he doesn't want to let go. I just smile and put my face into his neck breathing in his flowery scent. He shudders at this which makes me chuckle. We stayed like that for a while until I had to help Nick set up the fire, I got some food from one of the sacks on my horse and handed it out to the other two. We ate in comfortable silence until Nick spoke up. "We should be fine for now, but just in case Clay and I will take turns keeping watch, then we'll leave early in the morning before the sunrises." George and I nod, him still sticking to me like glue. "I can watch first then," I say, trying to be useful in some way. Nick nods his head and lays back on the forest floor falling asleep immediately.

After a minute or two I heard soft snores from George indicating that he was asleep. I sigh from relief that he had fallen asleep.

Third Person POV:

Clay is awake for 3 more hours and he throws a rock at Nick to wake him up telling him it was his turn. Nick gets up rubbing his head from the rock that Clay had thrown. Clay just grins and leans back against the tree once more and drifts off.

After another three hours, all the boys were up and ready, they removed all of the evidence that proved that they were there and headed towards the Capital once more.

George's POV:

I was still shaken up about what had happened the day before. But before we had left I had Clay take a look at my injuries, they weren't that bad, just small cuts and bruises. So I was fine to ride the horse by myself.

Third Person POV:

They had decided to let the horses rest when they found a stream. The water was crystal clear with plenty of fish. So Clay and Nick had a competition on who could catch the most. George just had his legs dangling in the water, his boots next to him. He laid back and looked at the clear sky seeing the birds fly above. He wished he could see the world from up there and not have a care in the world. He smiled at the thought but was disturbed by him getting splashed by Clay. Clay was just laughing at the soaking wet George. George grinned and chased after Clay, splashing him in the process.

After they all were soaked and tired they changed into clean and dry clothes. "Ah, shit," George says. "What happened?" Clay asks.

"I forgot to pack an extra shirt."

Clay just smirks and throws him a hoodie. "But this is yours," George says after catching it. Clay just winks, "Exactly."

"Oh, will you guys stop flirting already?" Nick says from behind his changing area, he continues and laughs, "I swear you'll be fucking soon." Clay and George just turn red, "Nick! What the fuck!?" Clay yells, Nick just laughs again, "Am I wrong?" Clay blushes even more and looks at George dead in the eyes, "No..." George just turns away from Clay and puts on the hoodie going to sit with the white mare. Clay just follows him and sits down behind him, nuzzling his face into George's neck while wrapping his arms around him.

Warning: Smut???

George freezes up, feeling Clay slowly kiss down his neck earning a whimper from George. George grabs Clay's hair and tangles it in between his fingers while biting his lip. The two hear a sigh from behind them, "see I told you didn't I?" Clay buries his face in the hood of the hoodie. "Fuck off..." He says, muffled by the fabric. George just sighs in relief from the sudden release. "Come on, let's go," Nick says, but laughs after that, "you guys can do that later." Clay glares daggers at Nick while he just continues laughing while climbing onto the horse. Clay helps George stand and walks to his horse while George climbs up onto his. When Clay finally gets his to cooperate they ride to the Capital, again.
