Dash heard the creature before she saw it.
Arrr, arrr, arrrwooo!
A blood-curdling howl filled the night air. Adrenaline surged through her body as Dash low-crawled through the shrubbery. Thorns, rocks, and twigs poked and prodded between the soft spots of her enviro-suit. Pain shot down her legs. She ignored it the best she could. Each movement rustled the brush underneath her. There was no point in being discreet now. Despite her discomfort, Dash attempted to stand up.
Something heavy pounced on top of her, pushing her back to the ground.
Claws dug into her back.
She'd lost the element of surprise.
Only one option left.
Dash had to stand her ground and fight the beast.
