I've been alone in this car for a very long time. Wasn't there a woman who hopped in here too? This was her car right. It got.. so quiet when the hail stopped and I...
I'm having a hard time just dealing with the silence.
"Hey um.. ma'am are you there? You haven't said anything in a long time" and then I waited, and trust me I waited for a long time. There was this lingering feeling that I wasn't allowed to move, right? Like that makes sense? I swear all I'm saying in my own head is this weird empty void of words that are strung together to fill up space so it's not so damn quiet in here, just any sound would be better than this. Just anything? Plea-
Tap tap tap tap.
What was that? Wait somebody was tapping on the door of the car! A sound..? Finally something anything other than this crushing deafening heart-wrenching silence and-
Screaaaaakk..
I feel my heart drop a bit as I hear that.. almost earsplitting sound. It sounded like.. That's new.. what is that..? It sounds like it's starting to move across the car? Like somebody had a knife they were slowly scraping across the the car, not exactly trying to break the door more just trying to mark it, claim it maybe? Why am I treating this sound like it's an animal? It's a person out there right?
"Hello! There are people in this vehicle, please stop!"
What? That was so weird.. and awkward. I shouldn't have said anything and I should've just waited until they left.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
This time the sound was coming from the right side of the car, on the window now I think. I couldn't exactly see so-
TapTapTapTapTapTap
Wait it was going faster now I think, what's going on? This person is acting really so bizarrely and-
I clench my head for impact as soon as the glass broke, I closed my eyes tight as this overwhelming feeling of dread overcame my body as something felt it's way around the car. It's like a pair of.. claws were being used to hunt out any living beings in the vehicle. I gasped and covered my mouth to cover up the sound of my breathing as the creature slowly conducted it's search. The worst part is that I had no idea what was happening to the poor woman in the front. I didn't even know her name and I was about to watch her die.. it wouldn't be very long until I was next, was it? The monster found it's way to the top of the seats in the front of the car, and it began tapping again. The tapping was quiet and deliberate at first, until it began to speed up, slowly tearing away at the seating of the car. I presumed it was to get to the woman in the front but I couldn't be sure. I wasn't sure if I should run or what but.. I know that as soon as the creatures claws punctured through the seat in the front of the car I just rolled out from under the seats and started running. The hail had stopped at this point and I had no reason to believe that staying in this car was the smarter option. There's no doubt in my mind that the monster saw me, I felt as if the back of my head was burning when I started running.
The second I got out of the car all I saw was the thick yellow fog around me. I couldn't make out much, and I had a hard time seeing further than 5 feet ahead of me. I felt like the world around me was being hidden from me, as if to contain my sanity. I couldn't tell you how long I ran for, but I ran for what felt like forever.
