My brain still hasn't wrapped around the idea of her saying fiancé. Jace shakes my shoulder to get me to focus on him. I look at Jazlynn confused but all she can do is shrug her shoulders.
" Yeah, this is Angelina and she is my fiancée, Karmaa" he says. When he talks to me, he shows me the sympathetic Zane I always knew. I am beyond confused right now, my letter explained everything to him, why in the fuck is he hating me and engaged right now?
" Did you say Karmaa, babe? So you're the ex that walked out on my man? You are such a- " she says sarcastically. Zane tells her to be quiet which she should because she has no place to even speak, not now, and not ever.
" Don't talk to me like you know me... okay?" I added.
She scoffs at my words and grabs Zane's arm as if she needs his security. Out of nowhere, my emotions go away like a light switch and I just want to get away from them before I do something I will regret.
" Congratulations on your engagement Zane... now if you'll excuse me I need to go and see my baby brother ".
Walking inside of the house my mom and Jazlynn follow me while Jace, Esteban, and Dad want to talk to Zane. " Dude, your wrong for this. Not your engagement because you can love who you want, but maybe if you read the letter, you'll understand why everything has happened. Those were my parents too Zane! Mine! But what's right is right, and what's wrong is wrong... period. " Jace says. Zane tells Angelina to go back inside of the car before he begins to speak. "I'm sorry for ghosting you and everyone else, I was hurt and pissed. I didn't read the letter because I just rather her talked to me instead of hiding shit from me! She was mine! Why did she lie to me and sell me false hope during the dinner that night?" he says.
Everyone remains silent until Zane speaks. " Listen, we cool okay. I just don't want to reopen that wound again with her. Tell Jazlynn I'm sorry about how I was to her. Mr. White, I honestly came here to take you up on that offer to be your best man, and I accept. "
Zane hugs Jace and walks to his truck to drive out of the driveway, which makes the guys come inside to see how we were. I'm not trying to soak up my coming back to the drama so I just focus on Milo and how big he has gotten. " Milo is so big! Look at his beautiful eyes! "I said. Holding Milo in my lap I play around with him and I am just happy he even remembers me. Jazlynn sparks a conversation that has all of catching up on things we missed this past year with each other.
