It's been a few months since a beautiful blonde traveler from another world arrived in the city of Monstadt, which worshiped the Anemo Archon of freedom. A lot has happened within these few months, and it was almost time for the traveler to see her way out of Monstadt and onto Liyue, continuing the search for her brother. The traveler had made many great friends here in this small city, and it saddened her that she soon had to depart from its welcoming stone walls.

The traveler had entered through the city gates and made her way over to Katheryne's small stand, ready to collect her rewards for completing the daily commissions that had been assigned to her. After claiming said rewards, Paimon-her loyal companion-appeared out of a cloud of connected stars, bobbing up and down as usual.

"Mie, Paimon is starving! Do you have anything to eat?" The pixie wined, pumping her small arms towards her chest and kicking her legs as she floated closely to her savior.

"Sorry, I ate the last of my food after fighting those Abyss Mages and Mitachurls. They were a lot stronger than I anticipated," she replied as she rubbed her arm, wandering along the main pathway that lead to the small fountain.

"Why don't we go to Good Hunter, then? You're swimming in so much Mora, we could buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a whole year!" Paimon suggested, making grand gestures with her hands.

"Okay, okay, fine. Some Fisherman's Toast does sound pretty amazing right now," the blonde replied, walking up to Good Hunter with an extra spring in her step.

The white-haired pixie giggled as she floated next to the traveler, a little more bounce in her bobbing as well. Mie walked up to Good Hunter and greated Sara kindly, a small smile present on both of their faces.

"Hello! We'd like to place two orders of Fisherman's Toast," Mie leaned against the wooden counter, her legs almost ready to give out from under her after the stress of fighting Hilichurls and slimes.

"Make that three orders," a familiar, silky voice said from behind the two outsiders.

The short blonde pivoted on her heels, turning in the direction of the voice's owner, and looked up at the beautiful, tan Vision-user. As she expected, it was Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonious. It was brief, but Mie took this moment to look at his bone-chilling eye, his lips, then his eyepatch. Although hardly noticable, this small gesture made Kaeya ever-so-slightly flustered, which he of course did a fantastic job at hiding. She had to admit, she always had a discrete attraction towards the tall male but treated it like every other small crush she's had and brushed it off. Despite her efforts, this "small crush" was beginning to develop more and more over time.

Kaeya leaned down and whispered in a low, husky voice, "I'll pay," before slipping his hand into Mie's, leading her over to one of the tables outside. Paimon rolled her eyes and flew upwards, disappearing in another cloud of connected stars.

The two knights sat down at the small wooden table, waiting for their meal. With a sly smirk on his face, Kaeya lifted Mie's hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss upon her knuckles. The blonde flushed a bright shade of pink as she reluctantly pulled her hand away from the handsome male. His smirk remained, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

"Has anyone told you how beautiful you look today?" Kaeya asked, a very apparent flirtatious tone in his voice.

"Um..." Mie's face reddened further, "no?" The traveler fidgeted with her gloves.

"Then allow me to be the first to say that you look breathtaking, as usual." His smile never faded as he spoke, looking very sure of himself.

The blonde opened her mouth to respond, but was interrupted by Sara, who placed the three plates of Fisherman's Toast around the table.. Paimon appeared out of nowhere, as usual, and dove for her plate of toast, devouring an entire slice within seconds. Mie chuckled at the hungry pixie before turning her attention back to Kaeya, her smile fading.

"Why are you words always honey-coated? I know you don't actually mean those things you say to me." She lifted up a slice of her own toast and took a slow bite into it, not only enjoying the taste but using it as an excuse to not continue her heart-breaking statement.

"And who told you such things? I can assure you, I don't speak like this with anybody else. Ask Amber, Lisa, or Jean, they will all say the same," his confident smile never faded as he spoke.

Mie took another bite of her toast as she thought of something to reply with, her gaze dancing from one slice of onion to the next.

"What are you trying to say then?" The traveler asked, her eyebrows furrowing.

"I haven't made it obvious enough? Then let me try a little harder," Kaeya stood up from his chair and walked over to the blonde, leaning down and wiping a bit of red sauce off of the corner of Mie's mouth with his thumb. He brought his thumb up to his lips and licked it, his smirk growing more prominent.

"I thought it would be easy for you to understand, but I guess not since you clearly don't have any romantic experience," Kaeya tilted Mie's chin up, their faces becoming mere inches from each other.

"May I?" He whispered lowly, earning another blush from the blonde traveler.

She gave a very small nod, her eyelids becoming heavy. Kaeya leaned in and connected his lips with Mie's, creating a sensation that she could only explain as sparks flying. It was brief, but it felt like a lifetime had passed by by the time their mouths parted. It wasn't passionate like she had expected it to be, but the briefness of the soft kiss made it feel much more meaningful than a passionate kiss would have.

"Do you understand now?" He smiled, chuckling softly.

"Paimon is still here, you know!" Paimon interrupted, placing her hands on her hips. Her mouth was covered in the red sauce from all of the toast that was previously on her plate, giving her the impression of a strange little clown.

"Oh, so sorry, Paimon. I'm just trying to 'shoot my shot', as Amber likes to put it."
