He had been in the Knights of Favonius for a while by now, he knew everybody and got along quite well. Kaeya and him talked more often than others did with them. They would get lunch together, go on commissions, and just hang out. Tonight there was a party to celebrate Kaeya's birthday. Everybody in Mondstadt was invited.

Kaeya was in a white suit, looking as handsome as always. Of course, he had a bit of his chest peeking out. What could they expect? He walked over to the tavern and waved at everybody. They hugged him, gave him flowers, and said happy birthday.

He felt awfully nervous, it was obvious. Paimon popped out of the little starry cloud. "Mie, it's okay! You've got your present and flower. No need to be anxious! Paimon's sure you'll have fun!" The boy took a deep breath and sighed. "Alright."

He walked to the tavern and opened the door. He was wearing a white button up, white pants, and a light, warm yellow coat. People greeted him and told Mie where Kaeya was. He walked over. "Happy birthday Kaeya!" He gave a warm smile when he looked at him. "Thank you Mie!" He gently grabbed his hand and rubbed his thumb on his. He glanced over in embarrassment. "Ah, my apologies." He let go. "No-.. no it's fine.." He chuckled and everybody went on about the evening.

A few hours later people had left because presents and cake was already done. Music was playing quietly. Kaeya was spotted on a table, drunk. A few hiccups were heard and he hummed to the music. Paimon popped out of stars. "Hmm.. Paimon wants to check up on Kaeya. Let's go!" When he walked, "Just the Two of Us" started to play. Kaeya's head lifted up at the sound of footsteps. "Kaeya- you should probably rest somewhere that's NOT here." He tried lifting the male up by the hand when Kaeya pulled Mie closer. He put his other hand on the boy's cheek, rubbing it. "Ah-" He seemed flustered. "You know, Mie.." He looked up at the boy. "I love you a lot. You do know that right?" The boy blushed, a bit more than usual. "This is just you being drunk, right?" The male looked puzzled. "No? I may be drunk but im being serious right now." He slowly sat up. His eyes sparkled. Mie seemed nervous, but he had to admit, he loved Kaeya just as much. "Ah.. uh.." He didn't even know what to say. Kaeya got off the chair and looked the boy in the eyes. There was a look of love and nervousness in his pupils. Kaeya leaned into Mie and kissed him. It was soft, yet thoughtful.
