EMILIA
MY heels clicked against the stone ground of Diagon Alley. I stopped mid-step when my eyes landed on the boarded-up Ollivanders. I stepped towards the storefront and began remembering the day I received my wand.
"Hello?" eleven-year-old me called out as I entered the store.
There was only myself in the store as my eyes searched for the owner Ollivander. "Hello?" I called out again and this time, a male voice answered back.
"I've been waiting for this day, Emilia Black," the male voice spoke which made me jump slightly and look up to see an older man leaning on a moving ladder.
My brows frowned at the man who I could only assume was Ollivander. He moved away from the ladder and began looking through the boxes of wands that lining every wall of the shop. It was only a moment until he found one and pulled it from the stack which remained upright. "10-inch, vine with unicorn hair core," he handed me a light brown wand which I grabbed hesitantly.
As my hand touched the wand, Ollivander pulled it away with a shook of his head. "No, no, no," I heard him mutter to himself as he walked towards another stack of boxes.
He pulled out another box and this time, he pulled out a black wand that had a lion head carved into the handle. As my fingers brushed the wand, sparks escaped from the end which caused a bright smile to form on Ollivander's face. "9-inch, Hawthorn with Dragon heartstring core. A powerful wand for a powerful witch," he explained as the smile on his face grew.
I shook my head to pull myself out of my memory and continued making my way towards the Twins' shop which unlike the rest of Diagon Alley, which was dark and half the shops closed down, it was bright and filled with colour. I opened the front door and instantly I could hear the twins' voices; "Step up, step up! We got fainting fancies, nosebleed nougats."
"And just in for time for school," Fred spoke then George continued; "Puking Pastilles."
A bright smile formed on my face as I stared around in awe. Everything they had imagined was real and right in front of me. However, I was thrown out of awe by arms wrapping around my waist and picking me off my feet. I let out a small squeal as my arms went around their shoulders to keep myself stable which made the owner of the arms laugh. I looked down to see George looking up at me with a large smile. My head shook at him before I leaned down and pressed my lips against his. "I've missed you," he whispered to me as we broke our kiss.
"I've missed you too," I whispered back with a large smile.
"Gross," I heard Fred gag from beside us which I turned my head to glare at him.
Fred walked away with a giant grin almost like he was proud of himself for ruining our moment. George dropped me back onto my feet but left his arms around my waist. "Sooo what do you think so far?" he asked me with a shy smile.
"It's amazing. Like everything you guys described to me," I informed him; my cheeks almost aching from how big my smile was.
George looked over me before saying; "I'll give you a tour later. Your friends might want to see you."
I nodded in agreement and rose to my tiptoes to place a kiss on his cheek. We removed our arms from each other and as George went join Fred, I made my way over to Hermione who looked up from the display she was staring at and her eyes widened at me.
"Em, it's good to see you," Hermione cried out as she threw her arms around me and I reciprocated her hug.
"It's good to see you," I told her as we separated.
She pulled me over to where Ginny was standing beside the love potions. Ginny also pulled me into a hug and as we separated; we heard the voice of the Twins; "Hello, ladies."
"Love potions, eh?" George questioned as he leaned on the display beside the potions.
"Yeah, they really do work," he informed us making me raised my brow at him.
"Then again, the way we heard you, sis... You're doing just fine on your own," Fred teased his sister who snapped back; "Meaning?"
"Are you not currently dating Dean Thomas?" George asked her and I looked over the Twins to see Harry staring at Ginny with a deep frown.
"It's none of your business," Ginny said as she put down the potion she was holding and walked away.
I noticed Hermione look over at Cormac McLaggen who gave her a sly smile as he looked her up and down. She quickly put down the potion and also walked away which left me alone with the Twins. "And how do you know that the love potions work?" I asked my boyfriend with my arms crossed over my chest.
He didn't answer me as he and Fred walked away with cheeky grins. I rolled my eyes at them as I followed them. As we walked up some stairs, Ron's voice caused us to stop and turn to look at him. "How much for this?" Ron asked as he held up a box.
"Five galleons," the Twins answered which made Ron ask; "How much for me?"
"Five galleons," the Twins repeated as they stared down at their brother in disbelief.
"I'm your brother," Ron remarked back as his eyes narrowed at the twins.
"Ten galleons," the Twins said whilst shrugging their shoulders.
I smacked their shoulders as I scolded them; "Be nice."
"Here Ron," I stepped down towards Ron and handed him the money needed for what he wanted.
Before I could force the money into his hand, it was taken by George. "Hey!" I cried out as he smiled down at me.
"Ron is a big boy. He can pay for himself. Besides, your money isn't good here," he explained to me and he held out his hand to hand me back my money.
I pushed his hand back towards him and held it against him. "You deserve it. I mean, I'm your girlfriend. I'm supposed to support you," I informed him with a small smirk.
He pulled his hand away from me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, forcing me against his chest. "I have the best girlfriend," he cried out which made me remark back; "And don't you forget that."
Moments made me feel a normal teenaged witch. And I love it.
