*COLES POV*

I held her hand tightly. Just like I have done weeks before.

"I love you Gena." I whisper to her. The door opened to reveal Noah. I let Gena's hand go and walked to him.

"How is she?" He said putting his phone in his pocket.

"Mr. Lambert says she is doing a lot better and has a 40% chance of pulling through." I said looking back at Gena.

"How are you?" He said looking me in the eyes.

"After that day..Not to good. But at least Gena went from 20% to 40%." I said quietly. Not having Gena around is hard. "I still can't believe Gena isn't here." I stated. " I feel this is sort of my fault."

"Hey you took the punches for her. You didn't know she would go all ninja and look for you." He said while turning to Gena.

" I just can't believe Jacob tricked me."

*November Flash back*

"Its funny how you come here just to keep Gena safe." Jacob said staring at me.

"I love her and you can't hurt her." I said all bravily. I was going to keep Gena safe.

"Here." He said handing me a glass of water. I took it and stared at him.

"Whats in it?" I asked with a smirk." I knew his game already.

"Sleeping pills. That way it will hurt less."He said walking to a seat in the basement. I drank the drink that was givin to me.

Ten mintues later i felt dizzy. I fell to the ground. I could still see but couldn't move. I felt a warm liquid fall all over me. O moved my eyes to see. Blood?

"Animal blood."I heard Jacob say faintly.

I heard the basement door open and I looked to see Gena at the top. This was a trap! I tried to move but couldn't. I tried to yell but failed.

"Cole." I heard her say to herself. She quickly was by my side.

"Cole speak to me!" She pleaded. I looked behind her and saw Jacob with a smirk on his face. He rose from his seat. Gena didn't hear him. Before she even could blink a cloth went around her nose. She soon passed out. Jacob did what he inteeded to do. He beat her to near death.

*End of flash Back*

"You okay?" I jumped when a hand was on my shoulder. Kitty.

"Yeah thanks Kitty." I said turning to give her a hug.

"I'm so sorry." She said starring at Gena. She walked over and took her hand. "We all miss you" She said while putting Gena's hand back by her side. A tear ran down her face. She hugged me again and walked out. Everyone did. No one could stand to see Gena like this. Kristen ran away with Max after she found out about her sister. No one seen them. Katie May moved when her parents to Ohio. And Mrs. Lambert made herself sick crying.

I walked over to Gena and place a kiss on her cheek. I smiled at her.

"I love you so much." I said befor walking out of the hospital room Ive been in since November. It was three day past Christmas. I walked out of the lobby and into the parking lot where i hopped in m car and headed home.
