Nothing had been normal. It had been years. Gena had found out shortly after she had gotten back that she was pregnant. Our child. A beautiful baby girl was born that next year. We had become the perfect family. Gena and I had gotten engaged. We bought a house together. Planned on Elizabeth having a little brother or sister. But fate wasn't on my side. Gena had a illnesses. She died nine months after Elizabeth was born. No one was ever the same. News had gotten to Gena little sister and Max. On there way home from God knows where, a drunk driver hit them dead on. Killing max right away but leaving her to suffer. Katie ended up moving away. Getting married and having beautiful twins. Jacob had died in a prison fight. And as morbid as it was, gena last request was to be next to him in the ground.
As any other day I held little Elizabeth hand.
"Where's mommy?" She knew the answer but our three year old had to ask.
"I don't know" I looked at her. She was so small in this world. We did arrive at the park in the five minute walk from the house we had picked for this very purpose, to be close to the park. She ran off to play. I looked at my life playing on the swings with the little boy three houses down.
"She looks like her mother" the boy's father said. Noah took a seat next to me.
"Yeah. But she has your beautiful brown eyes" I responded and kept my eyes on the little girl. My last thought was "damn it Christina "Ohhhhh plot twist. Yes I deleted chapters and the alternate ending but I do have a fan text me and want me to put the last one down for her best friend so there you go hope you're happy:)
