A Books Binding (JestroXReader) [ON HOLD]

Royal Heist

"Guys, incoming images from Y/N," Ava said.

She pressed a few buttons and images of a magic book appeared on the screen. 

"The book of chaos!" Merlok exclaimed, "We're in trouble!"

"There's more," Ava told them, "Y/N says that they're planning an attack on the royal coach."

"They're on a tour of Knighton right now!" Macy shouted.

"Then we need to get moving!" Clay commanded.

Jestro's Evil Mobile and Y/N's Chaos Rider were almost next to the royal coach. The monsters were waiting for commands. Y/N pulled up alongside Jestro, causing him to flinch.

"What are your orders?" Y/N asked.

"Uh... my orders?" Jestro asked, struggling to find his words.

The Book of Monsters rolled his eyes.

"Y/N, pull up to the front of the carriage and take the wheel from the squirebots." The book commanded, "And the rest of you. Follow Beast Master and take control of the inside. MOVE!"

They nodded and rode off or jumped on top of the carriage. Jestro was about to follow but the Book of Monsters kept him behind.

"What now?" Jestro whined.

"If you're gonna be given orders around here you need to show some backbone." The BoM stated, "Starting with Y/N. You can't be stammering on and on around her if you want her to think you're a strong competent leader."

"Well, what do you suggest I do?"

"Start by pulling off this heist successfully. That will impress her."

Jestro rolled his eyes and vaulted onto the royal cart.

Y/N rode her vehicle alongside the coach. The people inside appeared oblivious to what was happening on the outside. She looked back and thought that she could make out Aaron zooming towards them on a suped-up hover shield! Aaron flew overhead and then ended up swerving back towards the Fortrex after shouting at the people inside the carriage.

"It appears they got my message at least." Y/N sighed.

Y/N pressed her foot to the gas peddle and reached the front of the cart. She pulled out her Y/FW and cut a large hole in the window. Before the squirebots could react, she was inside.

"Get to the back and make sure that the passengers remain oblivious to the situation!" Y/N commanded.

The squirebots remembered that she was one of the graduated knights and didn't hesitate to follow her orders. The bots ran to the next car as Y/N took the wheel.

"I need to get the coach to the town fast so the knights can catch up," Y/N muttered to herself.

She hit the throttle and the speed of the vehicle increase dramatically. The passengers could feel the change in speed.

"What was that?" The queen asked.

"Oh, I'm sure it's just some turbulence!" A squirebot replied dismissively.

The other passengers seemed to buy it. Meanwhile, the knights were on the roof of the carriage trying to fight off some monsters and failing miserably. All of the knights were now thrown back into their Fortrex.

After a few more moments, the coach came to a halt at the town. Everyone inside started to leave.

"And that, my friends, is why the Earth is flat." The king finished.

"No, you idiots! Everyone knows that the Earth is shaped like a chocolate donut!" Jestro exclaimed.

Everyone who had exited the coach turned to see Jestro and the Book of Monsters on top of the carriage.

"ATTACK!" Jestro shouted.

The monsters scattered and began wrecking everything in sight. On the other side of the field, the Fortrex pulled up and lowered its drawbridge. The knights emerged, already charged up with a Nexo Power.

"Okay knights!" Clay exclaimed, "Fight chaos with order!"

The Nexo Knights shouted their battle cries and charged into battle. Y/N came out of the carriage moments later and went next to Jestro and the Book of Monsters.

"So. What's your plan?" Y/N asked.

Jestro slightly jumped at her appearing so suddenly.

"C-currently I just have Beast Master doing the work." Jestro stammered.

Y/N nodded and the Book of Monsters mentally facepalmed.

"How much of a wuss can he even be..?" The book muttered.

The knights fought and one of them had gotten rid of Beast Master! The monster returned to the Book of Monsters and all of the other monsters continued to run around like crazy.

"Oh, boy..." Y/N murmured

Jestro ran out to try and coral the monsters at least TOWARDS the battle.

"This went downhill fast." The BoM stated, "RETREAT!!!"

All of the monsters made a quick U-turn as soon as they realized the knights were decimating them. Jestro quickly followed suit and hopped back onto the Evil Mobile.

After a few moments of their retreat, Jestro began looking around.

"Hey... W-where's Y/N?!"Jestro exclaimed.

-----------A Few Seconds Earlier-----------

Y/N's POV:

The monsters seemed to have ushered in a retreat, despite them being in total disarray. I saw Jestro bolt and get into the Evil Mobile with the Book of Monsters. I think that means it's time to follow suit.

I went to run after them, but a hand grabbed ahold of my arm, holding me back. I looked over and saw... Lance.

"Lance? What the heck are you doing?" I questioned, "You'll blow my cover!"

He grabbed onto my other arm, and I immediately felt uncomfortable.

"Lance..." I muttered.

"What~? Don't tell me that you would rather spend time with THAT joker!" Lance exclaimed.

Did he think I was just going with the monsters for FUN?

"Uh... I'm just doing my JOB." I stated.

"Sure, sure, but how about we go where we left off?" Lance said in my ear.

"What," I questioned.

He started leaning in unervingly close, and he had my arms pinned to my side.

~Meanwhile~

Third Person POV:

Jestro looked around but couldn't see Y/N anywhere! 

"Eh, she's probably fine." The Book of Monsters dismissed.

Jestro wanted to slap his cover off at those words.

"But what if she's NOT?!" Jestro exclaimed, "Then what?!"

If the book had shoulders, he would have shrugged them. Jestro grunted in frustration.

"I'm going to go find her!" Jestro stated.

Before they could argue anymore, Jestro hopped out of the Evil Mobile, tumbling onto the ground in the process.

"What the-?! STOP THE MOBILE!" The Book of Monsters shouted.

Bookkeeper held him up so he could see Jestro running back towards the village.

"Huh. Joke-boy's got some spine after all." The Book of Monsters murmured.
