"Dave p-please, I'm sorry this just isn't right". He clenched his fists and walked closer to me, closing the space between us, he chuckled.
"Do I have to beat some sense into you again? I told you when we first met mama, you're mine. You never leavi...
Hi everyone!!! Real quick y'all...I absolutely love and appreciate every single one of you, honestly♥️. I know I went MIA on you guys (I sincerely apologize), but you guys show my story so much love and I'm wholeheartedly grateful. I've done a lot of reflecting and healing while being away, and I'm still going through a lot but I'm learning that my mind and heart has more strength than I thought. Coming out of such a toxic, abusive and scary relationship taught me strength and I hope anyone going through similar finds light, because it is there...
Always be kind! Especially to your mind!

Aaliyah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up with a throbbing headache. The sun was peaking through the curtains and it gave the room a glow.
Dave and I must've smoked an ounce worth of weed last night, he was snoring peacefully with half his body on top of me. His braids covered majority of his face but I could still see the structure. So beautiful, yet so frightening. I tried sitting up, I still had a hard time processing everything that happened with him last night, my cheek was still sore, now my throat wrists, and centre was as well. My heart raced at the thought of everything he did last night. This isn't at all what I expected it to be like...
(The evening before)
Dave got out of the car and closed his door, came over to my side and opened my door aggressively. My seatbelt was still on my chest so I took it off with shaky hands. He moved to the side so I could get out and we walked to the front entrance. I followed him inside and closed the door behind me. I just stood there at first out of fear, Dave looked over at me with a hard glare so I quickly took off my shoes and followed behind him.
The air was thick from the outside heat, so Dave cut on the air conditioner. I could see the sweat coming through his shirt. He walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, I stood by the island and waited. My heart was thumping in my ears plus my cheek felt like it was starting to swell, something in my gut was telling me tonight would be very, very long. Dave grabbed two water bottles and a bowl of chopped up watermelons, he closed the fridge and started walking out of the kitchen towards the stairs to go upstairs. I followed behind him taking faster steps because he was pretty much all the way upstairs by the time I started walking up the first step. I tried to focus on my breathing, overthinking would just give me more anxiety and that's the last thing I need right now. I just wish we could talk instead of fight, I hate fighting, and with Dave, he just keeps going until he's satisfied. Once I got to the door to his bedroom I waited for him to say something. He was putting the stuff down in the middle of the bed. Everything he did made me feel uneasy, yet I watched him like he'd put me in some kind of trance. Dave spoke without looking at me, his voice taking over the room, making me jump in the process. "Go to your room, change your clothes and come back". "Okay". I took a deep breath, turned around and walked over to my room. I took deeper breaths while opening the door, finally feeling a bit safer. I let out a long sigh of relief as I fought the tears building up in my eyes. Something bad will come from this and the feeling of regret won't leave the pit of my stomach. Which is never a good sign. I've seen my mom go through so much with my dad in the past but I don't think they've ever been through this. It doesn't feel normal.
