Chapter 4

Artiva's P.O.V.

I don't have to work today so I was gonna wash clothes and clean up.I had that feeling like something was gonna happen today but I just don't know what.

I grabbed my hamper and my laundry detergent and brought it to the front door.It was like 9 in the morning right now.Nobody ever up this early to wash they clothes so that's why I'm doing it now.I put on my slides and grabbed my keys.

After going down to the basement,I put my clothes in the washer and put my basket to the side.I went back up to my apartment and started to clean up.I vacuumed,cleaned my tables,windows,TV,cleaned the closet's,my room,the guest bedroom,the bathroom.I was in the middle of cleaning the Kitchen when my doorbell went off.

I put down my sponge and walked over to the door drying my hands on the towel that was over my shoulder.I looked out the door but didn't see anybody.I kept the chain on the door and unlocked it and pulled it open.3 little girls were standing there.They look so familiar.

The oldest girl looked at me and smile.She had Mel's smile.Chay.I closed the door quickly taking the chain off the door and pulling it open.

Chay:Taye.!

She pushed pass the Noonie and Kay and gave me a hug.I hugged her back and kissed her forehead.What are they doing here.?

Kay:I want to hug her to Chay.

I opened my arms up for Kay and Noonie to give me a hug.It's been so long.I missed them so much.

Chay:I missed you Taye.

I just hugged them.

F/V:Hey Artiva.

I looked up and there stood Chandra,smiling,looking at me.I felt tears swelling up in my eyes.I pulled away from the girls and Chandra pulled me into a hug.

Cha:I missed you so much Taye.

I nodded in response.

Cha:Still no talking.?

I let out a chuckle.

Cha:Someone is her to see you.

She pulled away and stepped to the side.I looked at her in confusion before looking to the side.A man was standing there.He walked closer to me.Once the light hit him in the face I stepped back a bit.

What is he doing here.?

August P.O.V.

I watched as she stepped back away from me.

Me:Hey.

She nodded softly before stepping to the side,waving us in.The girls were already sitting on the couch watching tv.Artiva put her finger up to us and walked to the kitchen.

Cha:Let me talk to her first ok.Sit out here with the girls.Let me talk to her.

Me:Alright.

I went and sat on the couch with the girls.I looked around her place.It was nice.I saw in a glass case it was pictures of her and some people.I stood and walked over to them.One was of her and I'm guessing her mother.Another was her and her brother.It was 2 of her and Derrick. And the last 4 frames were of her and.....Mel.

The first picture was of them sitting down at a table.They were laughing and smiling.The second one was she had to take the picture cause her and Mel were on an angle.She had a piece of her hair across her top lip and he had a piece of hers across his top lip.The third one was of Mel laying back on the couch and she was sleep next to him.It was like he had her in his arms as a protective style.A big brother style.The last frame was of Mute,Mel,Derrick,Kevin,Elijah,Troy,and Brandon.She was in the middle of Elijah's legs.Mel was next to Elijah and Derrick was on the other side of her brother.
