We were at the park now and Taye and Cha were setting the tables up with food. Me and Kevin had grilled the hamburgers and ribs a few minutes ago. Not to mention all the food Taye and Cha made before we actually came here. We was pulling stuff out the trunk for 10 minutes bro.! Kevin had just started on the crawfish and it was Finna be lit. I was waiting in Chris and the gang to get here but Travis was coming shortly. Smoke was suppose to come but he got called into work.
Taye was keeping it together so far today. I could tell she made herself busy most of the day to keep her mind off that fact that Derrick is actually gone but she's acting as if he was coming home to a surprise party. She said it all had to be special. I just wanted to hold my baybeh though.
I watched her as she kept setting the food out. She must have felt me starring because she looked up at me. She smiled and blew me a kiss. I smirked and winked at her. She turned to Cha and said something to her before walking over to me. Damn my baby was fine today.

She came over and stood in between my legs since I was sitting on the picnic table. Her arms went around my neck as she laid her head on my chest.
Me:How ya doing.?
Taye:Im holding it together okay.
Me: You keeping yaself busy I see.
Taye: Yea. Just Tryna get through today.
Me: You know it's okay to say you hurting right.?
Taye:Yea I know.
Me:So are you hurting.?
She took a minute to answer but I heard her sniffle a bit.
Taye:Yea.
I wrapped my arms around her back more and squeezed her. She cried softly on my chest. I kissed her forehead and let her cry.After a minute the girls were looking over at us. They had sad expressions on their face because she was crying. I don't need them crying so imma go sit Taye in the car.
Me: Come on, we gone go sit in the car.
She nodded and we started for my car. I ain't even want her to cry but I know that she was bout to.I opened the back door and helped her in before I got in myself. I closed the door and pulled her in my lap.
Me:You so strong ma you know that.
Taye:I'm not thou. I got all these problems and it's like I can never catch a break.
Me:God only gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.
Taye:I'm not really that strong. I gotta take these fucking pills to even be sane half the time. The pills only make me feel like a fucking vegetable half the time.
