it was a cloudy day at school. the time was 3:25 pm, so five minutes until the day ended. my classmate, (and crush) kai, said that he had something important to tell me after school, and that we should meet on the grass near the school's playing field.
i wonder what he wants to tell me, i think to myself.
five minutes pass. finally, the day is now over.
i gather my things from the school desk and place them into my bag. then i get up and leave the classroom.
i apprehensively make my way over to where kai told me to meet him. he is punctual, standing right in the exact spot he said he would be.
i walk towards him and say "hi, kai! how are you?"
he smiles at me, and says to me "oh hi [Y/N]! i'm good, how about you?" to me though, he looked a little nervous, his cheeks were blushing. well, he says he's about to tell me something important, so i would expect that, haha. after all, i'm literally having a heart attack right now- i mean, he is my crush.
"haha, i'm doing good too," i smiled at him. i felt my cheeks go red.
"sooooo," i said, "what did you want to tell me?"
he stared into my eyes for a few seconds. my heart leapt into my mouth, but in a happy way!~ then, he took my hand, and held it.
with the most loving look in his eyes, he calmly whispered, "you, are the most beautiful person i have ever met. both on the inside and outside. you're so sweet, kind, and understanding. whenever i'm with you, i always smile. and in class, i can't stop staring at you because you're so pretty."
suddenly, he brushed my bangs out of the way of my eyes.
"aww, heh, you have a pretty long fringe!! its covering the view of your eyes, but it makes you look cute!~"
i could not believe what just happened. my crush, confessing his love to me, so effortlessly and calmly?? this cannot be happening.
i feel my heart pounding. trying to remain calm, i looked up to him and said "kai... i feel the same way about you. you're handsome, you're kind, sweet, understanding, funny... i just love you."
kai's face lit up with a smile and he said, "great!! soooo... do you maybe... wanna go out with me?"
i smiled back and said, "of course i do!"
he leant down slightly, because he was taller than me. then he kissed me on the lips, and said, "i love you!!"
