I was about to get on the flight which would be taking me back home from Japan. I was needed there because of a business trip from my job as a model for Chanel. All this travelling was tiring me, but it was great to be travelling all around the world and seeing all the interesting things in each country.

I whipped out my phone and sent a text to my boyfriend of 2 years, Kai. It said,

'hi love! ^^ i'm about to get onto the flight now, i'm just queuing at the gate. i'll see you when i get home! i love you so much! <3 <3'

Immediately afterwards, a reply is sent:

'aww hi baby! <3 i hope you have a safe flight! :) i'll see you later. i love you even more though!'

I react to Kai's message with a heart and switch my phone onto airplane mode. Then I check in my boarding pass at the desk and make my way onto the flight.

I'm in First Class, which is great, since I've never been on it before - I've only ever been on Business and Economy.

I make my way to the back of the jumbo jet to get to my seat. As I sit down, a stewardess rolls a trolley filled with refreshments towards my seat, and offers me food and drink. I ask for a Coca-Cola and a cookie, and she quickly gets them from the trolley and hands them to me. I thank her as she moves on to the next seat.

I stare out of the window, seeing all of the airport cars drive across the tarmac, the luggage cart taking everyone's suitcases into the airplane's cargo cabinet.

I sigh, bored, waiting for the plane to take off. I reach from my handbag and grab my phone and earphones and I play some music quietly out of one earphone.

Then, I hear the little chime and an announcement from the tannoy: "Hello, welcome to Japan Airlines flight 183. This is your captain speaking, we are about to take off soon. Please buckle your seatbelts and close your tray tables."

I made sure to buckle my seatbelt and close the tray table and I rested in my seat, my head turned staring out the window as the plane made its way down the runway. I was starting to get a little bit sleepy at this point.

The plane takes off. I always get nervous on planes, so I'm a little uneasy. I cover my ears because when planes take off, it's always so loud >.< But once the plane is in the air, the engine is a lot quieter. I rest my eyes, and start to fall asleep.

-

I wake up to the feeling of being shaken and a voice shouting, "Emergency! Emergency! Brace brace brace!"

I open my eyes, confused. A member of the cabin crew is trying to wake me up, with a distraught expression on his face. Immediately, I realise what is happening. I quickly move into the brace position and start quietly sobbing.

"Please, please, can nothing happen, please, please," I quietly whisper to myself.

After what seems like forever, an announcement comes through: "Hello, this is your captain speaking. We are about to land at the airport now, but the landing could crash. Please remain in the brace position."

-Hueningkais POV-

I am sitting in the airport, and I scroll through my phone to see the news. All of a sudden I hear an announcement:

"Hello, many flights are going to be delayed because a flight is possibly going to have a crash landing on Runway 2"

Wait.

Is that....

Y/N's flight?

I mean, her flight is going to be arriving soon, and it also arrives on Runway 2...

Oh my God.

-Back To Readers POV-

My heart pounded in my chest. I could feel the plane hovering lower. It was getting lower and lower, closer to the ground. With every inch that it went down, my anxiety increased more and more. Finally, it landed...

...With nothing but a gentle thud onto the runway.

Shocked, I get up out of the brace position to see the other passengers doing the same as well. A round of applause starts to be heard all over the plane, and I start clapping as well for the pilot's efforts in getting us down safely.

I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt and grab my handbag and quickly take my other bag from the overhead cabinet. I knew that I had to get off the plane quickly.

Then I got to the exit and went down the slide. I ran off from the plane as quickly as possible and then I saw..

..Kai standing on the tarmac, with a relieved yet distressed look on his face, waiting for me.

I immediately sprint towards him and I give him a massive hug, and cry onto his shoulder.

"Shh, shh, it's okay, you're safe now," he whispers into my ear. His comforting words somehow make me sob even more, as he played with my hair to tell me how much he loves me, and to calm me down.

I start to feel a little better and we walk back to get into the airport as quick as possible. We go into the arrivals gate and we take a seat, as I'm still shaking from what just happened. Kai hands me a drink of coffee and I sip it.

"Thank you baby, I'm just so glad I'm alive," I tell him.

"Sweetie, I can't tell you how worried I was for you, when I found out it was your flight."

After I finish my coffee, we get up to go slowly walk to the parking lot but all of a sudden, Kai kneels down on the floor, right in the middle of the airport, full of people, and calls, "Hey, Y/N, wait up a second!"

I turn around to see him kneeling and he says to me, "Y/N, I know that you've been through a shocking event, but I just can't hold this in anymore." He takes a small black box out of his coat pocket and opens it up to show a stunning, sparkling diamond ring mounted inside. "Y/N, will you take my hand in marriage?"

I squeal in excitement, suddenly feeling an overwhelming wave of happiness take over me, forgetting what had just happened 30 minutes before. "Oh my God... Yes Yes Yes! A million billion times yes!" I squeal excitedly, jumping up and down on the floor in pure happiness. I carefully take the shining ring from the box and slide it on the ring finger of my right hand. It fitted perfectly, adorning my finger with the sparkling crystal.

"It fits perfectly," I say to him.

Kai smiled at me and jumped up in joy, and then all of a sudden, we realised that Kai proposed to me right in a building full of people.

Meaning...

...everyone was starting to cheer very loudly and clap for us. We were congratulated on the engagement and one person even came up to us and gave us a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

So that, was simultaneously the single worst, and best day of my life.
