Chapter 58

"Y-you do not know his name?" I stuttered without purpose as I spoke to the woman.

"No, my dear, I don't. He never told me. The only thing he said was that he liked to go there by the lake and that he would do it soon again. Do you know who I am talking about?" She answered and I nodded while shaking my head at the same time since I was very unsure what to answer.

"Yes... or no... I mean it could be my best friend... but he was supposed to be somewhere else tonight." I said and she tilted her head.

"Yoongi..." I said and turned around to see the prince looking up at me. He had large bags under his eyes and his messy hair also made him look even more tired and exhausted.

"You want to go to the lake?" He questioned. "You think it can be that boy?"

"I don't have to if you want me to stay. I can stay if you want, I don't want to leave you all alone." I said because I honestly didn't. "You know I don't love him. It is just that if it is him, he knows where my family is, you see? But if you want me to stay, I will stay."

"If I could choose, I would want you to sit here beside me." He said and I nodded, trying to hide my frustration. But I knew I would feel shit if I left him. And I knew he did not trust me to hundred precent since he was one of the princes' that saw me with Gi when he had sneaked into the castle. 

"However..." Yoongi then said. "I will not let you do that. Go right now and look for him by the lake. If he is not there, you come back. If he is there, I will find you as soon as the princes are able to walk again. We also have to go back and look for the citizens and my brothers that are still in the chamber of ivory if we do not see them soon. But you must be careful, there may be people out there that wants to kill you."

"But Yoonig, I don't w-"

"Y/N, if you don't go now, I will get angry. Come on. Hurry!" He said and I smiled back.

"Thank you. I will be back as soon as I can." I cupped his face and gave him a peck on the lips and he smiled during it. I noticed how he blushed as well, but he covered his cheeks with his hands so it wouldn't be noticeable. Cute.

"I am going to look for a friend." I told the citizens in the small barrack. They opened their mouths to say something, but I walked out before they had the time.

I walked down the hill and I could see the lake that apparently was called the Ring Loch appearing between the barracks that I soon reached. The sky was still dark, but the castle light up the whole night with its fires that were still burning. The sun would rise soon though, and I hoped it would give me a clearer view of the lake.

I walked to the side and reached barracks that were very far to the left. It was too risky to walk straight through town. All the people had gathered there in the middle, and they were happy, cheering and shouting, but I could not exclude the fact that, as Yoongi said, there may be people out there that wants to kill me.

It was a warm night and I did not freeze in my dress that was ripped and damaged at several places. As I looked down at it, I remember Mi-sun. And then the princes. And then the room of ivory. What if the guards got the control and killed everybody? What if the citizens and the princes' didn't succeed killing the guards? What if they do not find a way out?

Damn it. I should not be thinking about that now, there was nothing I could do in the moment, expect from keep on walking towards the Ring Loch.

It was just as beautiful as I remembered it. I took off the shoes I wore that barely could be called shoes anymore since they were so damaged. I put them on the grass beside the bridge and walked out on it. I sat down and put my feet in the cold water, but I didn't even flinch. The dirt on my feet got washed away immediately and I just wanted to jump in there and turn back time. Or, no. I did not want to turn back time. If so, the king and queen would still have ruled, and the people would still live under terrible circumstances and we all would die at age 30. What I think I actually wanted was just to instead make time go faster.
