Before heading to Yoongi's room, I walked to the library because I had to get the law book and read the real rules. I was too excited to let it wait.

The book wasn't hard to find, a thick, dusty, dark blue book with a golden text that shone even though it was placed on the highest floor. As I took out from the shelf I let out a gasp and almost dropped in on the floor because its heaviness surprised me. With the ancient book in my hands I stumbled towards the nearest table and sat down before placing it in front of me.

Yoongi was probably irritated as hell that I hadn't showed up to his room yet so he could fall asleep, but I was working as fast as I could. It was extremely hard to find specific rules between the thousands. I sighed because I didn't have the energy to deal with Yoongi's bad temper. However, just as I was about to give up I saw the title I've been waiting for the whole time.

HEIR CONSTITUTION

My eyes scanned the several laws until they stopped at the words that made me bite my lip hard.

1289; When the king and queen no longer are the ones to rule, the male heirs are the first priority.

1290; A human being that is not born into the royal family have the possibility to become a rightful ruler by being married into the household.

1291; if the occurrence that the king and queen do not obtain any offspring holding the same blood as those would come about, the rightful following ruler will be a male citizen chosen by the people.

My hand flew to my mouth and I continued to stare at the words to make sure that what I was reading was true, which it obviously was. It wasn't like the words would change when I finally closed the book.

If what I heard the other night was true...
The king and queen don't have any heir.
Their blood don't run through the princes' bodies.
A citizen can become a ruler.
They have lied to the princes and the inhabitants for years.
They had broken the law.
They would lose their power.

"Omo.." I kept on mumbling towards Yoongi's room. He couldn't see me like this, he would notice something was off so I would have to act like it wasn't. The problem was though that something was wrong, something was so wrong that it was nearly impossible for me to act normal. Therefore, he did notice.

"Why are you so tense? I noticed at the dinner as well that you weren't yourself." He questioned while finally getting the chance to lay down in the bed now that I was in the room with him. I gulped and shrugged.

"I'm just tired."

"You know what more you are?"

His words made me frown. I looked at him and he was already having closed eyes, ready to sleep any second.

"What?"

"A horrible liar. I know it's not because you're tired." He answered and I rolled my eyes, wanting him to think I was annoyed so he could leave me alone.

"Shut up, it's true so let me sleep now." I mumbled and turned my back to him making him chuckle slightly.

"Goodnight sweetheart."

I didn't have many nights left with Yoongi, that however, didn't stop me from continuing going to the king's forbidden office. Night after night I continued walking there, being afraid to death every night that I would get caught. Six days passed and the only things they were talking about was economy and sometimes he wasn't even there. They could very likely have spoken about the adoption when I wasn't in the room and I was close to giving up. It would take me so much more days until I would hear something more and the risk of getting caught is only increasing because some nights the princes had noticed me leaving in the middle of the night.
