Two weeks after her 'husband' brutally beat and attacked her at the top of the stairs, Rose was all healed. She told Mike she'd be staying with Izzy for a few weeks, but where she was actually staying? With Sam. Sam had been amazingly caring and welcoming the entirety of Rose's two-week stay.
Sam's place was an adorable one bedroom, with matching furniture and a giant cat tree for Mr. B. The windows were massive— floor to ceiling. It was above an old fire station, that was all converted into apartments. So cute and simple. Cozy, yet huge.
Samuel Alexander Marsten, as she now knew him as, was the nicest man she ever met, not to mention the sexiest.

At work, Sam and Rose were working on a project for a client together, laughing. Rose wasn't even thinking about Mike. That is, she wasn't, until Izzy came running into Sam's office. She looked cute today— blue dress, with a white sweater on top. But at this moment, she was panicked."Izzy.. what's wrong?!" Rose asked, matching her franticness.
"Uhm.. Rose, Mike... just texted me."
"What?!" Rose stood from her chair and walked over to Sam's office door and grabbed Izzy's phone. Sam followed her and put a careful hand on the small of her back.
"Well fuck!" Rose said exclaimed.
'Will Rose be doing her yoga after work? Or will she be with you?' — the text read.
"Okay, Iz.. text him back and say 'yoga. Then my place'.." Rose swallowed.
"Okay. Sent." Isabelle replied as she breathed heavily.
"Isabelle, it's okay. He won't bother you.."
"I'm not worried about me. Fuck him," Isabelle said as she shook her head.
'Tell her to answer my god damn texts!', Izzy read the text to Rose.
Rose walked back to her desk and saw three missed messages from Mike.
'Sweetheart?'
'Where are you?!'
'Fine. BITCH! FUCK YOU!'
"Well then.. he's in a good mood," Rose chuckled nervously.Sam walked up to the duo and spoke to Rose, "you can still stay with me, as long as you need."
"Are you sure? It shouldn't be too much longer.." she cleared her throat. "I just need to finalize my plan, and start my divorce paperwork..."

"Hey Sam!" Rose called from Sam's massive black pleather couch."Yes dear?"
"Can you come here when you get a chance? I need your opinion on something, please!"
"Sure! In the bathroom, be right there!"
Rose laughed at her boss, and continued her search on his laptop while she petted mr. B.
"What's up Rose?" Sam asked as he sat down next to her.
"Oh yeah.. uhm do you know of any good divorce attorney's? I only know two and they both know Michael.. so that would not be of help," she chuckled.
"Hmm.. let me see what I can find!"
*fuck you, fuck you very very much*
"Shit! I gotta answer that!" Rose ran over to grab her phone just in time. "Hi.. Mike.""Hi baby! How are you?! When are you coming home? You know I'm sorry right?" He sighed on the other end of the phone.
"Uhm.. well, I think I still need some time. You really fucked me up last time. I didn't do anything, and you were a total prick. I just.. need time..."
"Time for what?! It's not like you can do anything without ME! You have nothing.. and I'm nice enough to give you an allowance! What could you possibly need more time for?!"
"Uhm.. nothing. You're right. I'll be.. home tomorrow..."
"Perfect, see you then."
Rose clicked her phone off and slammed it on the table with a grunt, "dammit. He's right. I'll be leaving you tomorrow. Thanks for everything Sam."
"Uhm.. what did he say?" Sam asked as he approached her and rubbed her back.
"Oh.. uhm nothing really. I just need to go home, running out clothes and stuff. Ya know?" Rose chuckled.
"Is that a good idea?" Sam waited for her to answer, but when she didn't, he continued, "I'm always here for you," Sam said as he lovingly kissed her shoulder. Rose grabbed his hand and kissed it before she walked into the to bedroom to pack her bag.
