Lincoln and Clyde left the latter's house before noon, eating a big breakfast with compliments of Clyde's dads.
They walked until they came onto the street: Franklin Avenue
Here they would find the battlefield of angry sisters.
"Clyde, once again, I can't thank you enough. Anybody else would decline resolving an issue with 10 goddamn sisters," Lincoln thanked his best friend.
"No worries, buddy. That's what best friends are for," Clyde assured.
They did their best friend handshake and kept walking, their legs trembling.
There it was. 1216 Franklin Avenue came into view, and they saw Mr. Grouse raking leaves outside.
"Hey, Mr. Grouse," Lincoln mumbled.
"Hey, Loud. Your sisters have actually been piped down from whatever they were yelling about; haven't heard a lotta noise today," Mr. Grouse said back.
Lincoln and Clyde looked at each other for a few seconds, then faced their house. It really was silent.
"Lincoln, they did it! They solved it!" Clyde happily cheered.
Lincoln wasn't getting too happy yet, because he thought of an explanation, and unfortunately he thought of one.
"Clyde...they didn't fix it," Lincoln started, and Clyde stared at him confused, "have you ever heard of the saying 'it's quiet before the storm'?"
Clyde shook his head no, as his mouth dropped open. He realized what Lincoln was saying.
"You mean that-" Clyde was cut off.
"Yes. It's only quiet because something bad is about to happen," Lincoln told.
"Crap, we gotta get in there, then!" Clyde yelled.
The boys rushed to the front door, and Mr. Grouse muttered to himself "Quiet before the storm? I didn't know it was gonna rain today!"
Clyde and Lincoln ran up the steps, nodded to each other, and then opened the front door.
They only saw Rita and Lynn Sr holding Lily on the couch.
"Uh, guys? What's going on?" Lincoln asked his parents.
"I don't know, you're sisters have been quiet all day, but they haven't really said anything to us or have moved around alot," Lynn Sr explained.
"Also, where were you last night?!" Rita demanded to know.
"Uhm, I spent the night at Clyde's house so that he can help me resolve this nonsense," Lincoln told his mom.
"Well, you were grounded yesterday, you shouldn't have gone anywhere!" Lynn Sr reminded Lincoln.
"I know-" Lincoln started.
"You're grounded until Wednesday, so that's about 3-4 days," Rita enforced.
"Aw, what?! God, that is bullcrap!" Lincoln protested.
"Too bad. Now, Clyde, you can stay here with Lincoln for today, but not Monday through Wednesday," Rita suggested.
"That's fine, thank you Mrs. Loud," Clyde thanked.
"Clyde, can we talk in the dining room, please?" Lincoln asked.
"Sure, buddy," Clyde agreed.
The boys walked into the dining room to discuss what they were about to do.
"How about you check the basement for any sisters? I'm gonna check upstairs!" Lincoln suggested.
"Alright, keep in touch through the walkie-talkie," Clyde reminded.
The boys wished each other good luck and parted ways.
Clyde slowly opened the basement door and found Lori, Lola, Lynn, and Lisa.
The girls heard the door open, and Lori yelled "CHARGE!!"
"WAIT!!!" Clyde yelled for his life.
The girls halted and look confused and asked "Clyde?! What are you doing here?!"
"Stopping this before it starts. What is about to happen, anyway?" Clyde claimed.
"We're going to attack Luna and Lana's group upstairs. We have our materials ready to go!" Lynn explained.
"What?! Why?!" Clyde eagerly questioned.
"Things didn't get much better yesterday, in fact, they only got worse. More rumors were spread, more things destroyed, and more anger stirring around the house," Lola said.
"Now move! We got time business to take care of!" Lisa shouted.
Once they got to the stairs, Clyde took out his radio and told Lincoln "FOUR SISTERS ARE COMING UPSTAIRS NOW! WE GOTTA BREAK THIS UP!!!"
"Affirmative! This is about to get real messy!" Lincoln responded.
Weapons for each Loud sister:
- Lori: Boot
- Luan: Mechanical Boxing Glove
- Luna: Drumsticks
- Lisa: Exploding Chemicals
- Lana: Her Animals
- Lola: Firecrackers
- Lynn: Wooden Baseball Bat
- Lucy: Slingshot(Notice how Leni isn't in that list, she had left home, knowing what was going to happen).
Lincoln had found Luan, Luna, Lana, and Lucy upstairs in Luna's room, getting ready, just like the basement group.
The basement group headed upstairs and marched through the dining room.
Clyde tried to stop them, but Lynn threatened him with her baseball bat.
It was a 4 on 4, as both groups met in the upstairs hallway.
They just stared at each other with mad glares until Lincoln and Clyde started speaking.
"C'mon, guys. Haven't you taken this too far?! Don't forget this damn situation started over a sweater! Hell, a stupid ass sweater!!" Lincoln yelled.
Rita and Lynn Sr overheard and seen what was happening, and they hid in their rooms, too scared to break up the soon to be rumble.
"You kinda started that, dude. Now get outta our way," Luna said.
"I thought we were cool, Luna?!" Lincoln asked.
"Now that I look back at it, he DID kind of start it!" Lola agreed.
"And Clyde is here to help Lincoln, the toadie!" Lynn joined in.
Lincoln and Clyde were pushed towards the bathroom, which didn't even have a working lock anymore, so they couldn't hide in there.
"Forgot them! Let's settle this and deal with those goons later!" Lana yelled.
The sisters stopped cornering the boys and faced each other again.
It was Luna, Luan, Lana, and Lucy versus Lori, Lola, Lisa, and Lynn.
"This won't solve anything! Are you guys that stupid to believe that it will?!" Clyde yelled.
Lola and Lynn approached Clyde, where Lynn swung her bat, but Lincoln pushed Clyde out of the way before he could get hit.
"Guys, put your weapons down!" Lincoln announced.
Just then, El Diablo, Lana's snake, came out and bit Lori's leg. Lori screamed, and the fight would begin.
