Chapter 5: Bonds

Five weeks has passed since the prevention of the Hyuga heiress' abduction and a week after Rei's cleaning punishment for being involved in the case. The Sandaime was made aware of Shisui training Rei and was not opposed to it. He was more intrigued of the situation instead as to how they met. But before she could hear anything of importance she was forced to leave the premises of the Hokage's office.

'Ah~ I shouldn't have mentioned my name that time.'

The news of her staying out late reached the matron's ears and Kaori did not take Rei's misbehaviour well. She called the little girl to the office showing her different cleaning items. Kaori taught her how to use each of it and told her to go wild at cleaning the building.

'Oh well the punishment is done. I can still hardly believe I had to clean the main building for a month. My poor three year old body was so worked out. That was honestly child-abuse. Good thing nobody ever saw me cleaning the ceiling while hanging upside down to practice my chakra control.' She yawned from just waking up and opened her bedroom door to get ready for her activites for the day but she got tackled to ground making her yelp in surprise.

"Good morning Rei!" A loudmouth greeted her morning.

'I need my coffee.' She wanted to be older badly so consuming coffee won't be bad for her tiny body.

The training and research were both mentally and physically taxing. In the morning she would practice her speed with Naruto and teach him basic chakra control, then to some shuriken training using her borrowed dulled ninja tools from her sensei. After that she was scheduled in the orphanage to help with the laundry and folding it. Then after dinner, she would read books and research to summarize other infos she could connect to any plot holes she forgot to the series.

The last part of her schedule was her late night training with Shisui-sensei that was still kept secret to Naruto. She had to lie through about owning the ninja tools and just told the blonde boy that she bought it.

It was tiring, yet it felt exhilarating at the same time. The fact that she was prepared for anything that any danger made her feel safey, but she knew she still had much to learn and training. Shisui also had told her to at least make one rest day on her whole week schedule.

She pondered for a moment if she was overdoing things.

She was by no means new to this type of concept in stories. Overpowered, knowledgeable characters being sent to another world. She wasn't overpowered, not a genius nor does she have the plot armor, unless she was actually a fictional character being written by an author. She suddenly glanced at her surrounding hoping she is, since she didn't want to die.

She sighed. 'What am I even thinking? I can never be so strong. This world has so much dangerous ninjas, including the future members of Akatsuki. No mere single shinobi's were able to put one of them down.'

The incident with the Hyuga by the end of last year has been an uproar, the Kumogakure responded quickly from the news. Days later the Hokage received a letter from the Raikage himself. The Raikage claimed that they never sent out an order to kidnap the heiress.

'Lies. He did sent it out. Then Hiashi kills his representative, he got angry and wanted a death in Konoha which was Hiashi's life... But Hizashi offered himself so they won't get the Byakugan. Which was what happened to the series but in here, there is still conflict between Kumo and Konoha. The peace treaty has been suspended as well. Which means they are still trying.' Rei frowned remembering this but she was sort of relieved at the same time that neither party are waging war.

"Hey Rei." Finally acknowledging the boy on top of her, he looked at her in a feign fright. "You look like you aged fifty years, what are you thinking about!?"
