It's a fine autumn day, the sun is shining, the sky is cloudless. It's not cold and yet not hot either. Colorful leaves dance along the streets in the slight breeze that breathes some fresh air to damp corners. A couple of girls are walking, hand in hand, towards an apartment complex. They're chatting quietly together, both glancing intermittently at each other with tender smiles on their faces.
They reach the apartment complex, and the other girl opens the door. The second one holds back. The first one smiles at her grabs her hand and pulls her in, laughing. She shakes her head and closes the door afterward. They walk in silence to the elevator, ride it up and stop at the fourth floor. They walk to one door, and the first girl opens it. She holds it open for the second, who hesitates momentarily, but the first one pushes her inside and giggles. She closes the door behind them.
On the door, there's a sign that has three names under it. One family name, two female first names. There's a pride flag sticker on the door. A decorative plaque is mounted on the door. In beautiful, slightly wobbly cursive font, it says:
