I woke up with a sharp pain in my head. I felt like someone dropped a brick on my head. I shook my head to gain my vision. That only seemed to make it worse.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." A voice spoke. It was Zayd. He walked out from the shadows. Everything started coming back to and neither of it made sense. "Where am I?" I asked. He sighed and handed me a glass of water and some painkillers. "Here take these, they'll make you feel better."
I gulped down the water and painkillers. "I asked you a question." I stood up to confront him but my iron deficiency had other plans I instantly fell but he caught me in his arms. He smirked at me before helping me back on my feet. I hope I'm not blushing right now..."Where's Ahmet?." I asked. He stood in silence before saying...."He's busy at the moment."
"Well he can't be too busy for me I almost got killed!" I pushed past him and marched out I had no idea where I was going. "COO my ass!" I yelled.

I could hear Ahmet yelling on the phone in the distance. Zayds heavy footstep followed behind me. "Jamillah would you stop!" He yelled. I ignored him completely and fastened my pace.
"How did they find us in the first place!" Ahmet was shouting down the phone. He didn't see me standing at the doorway so I continued to eavesdrop. "What if something happened to her! I wouldn't get my money and you'd be dead right now!" He yelled.
What? What money was he talking about...?
"She's important we need her dont mess up like this again or I'll have your head!"
What was he talking about? I started walking with no destination I just knew I had to get out of here. My head was exploding. "Jamillah!" Zayd pulled me to the side. "Get off me I'm leaving!" I shouted. I tried pushing him off me but he wouldn't budge.
"If you promise to do as I say I'll tell you what's going on..." he stared at me waiting for an answer. I dont know what it was but I felt as if I could trust him. I nodded and just like that we were back in the SUV. The memories came flooding back as I looked at the spot where it all happened.

"Where are we going?"
I looked over at him to see him focusing on the road.
"Away from here." He said with no expression. "I'd like to know what's going on!" I demanded.
He looked over at me with pity.
"They're using you for your money. Your fathers money to be precise."
"We live comfortably my father isn't a billionaire."
"Your father is a billionaire. The other man you call your father isn't."
My heart dropped. What does that even mean?
"Jamillah they're not your real parents..."
Tears were welling up in my eyes. I felt my stomach churning.
"Your joking...right?" I asked him with my voice shaking.
"It's true Jamillah...I'm sorry."
I tried controlling my breathing. I had so many questions. "How did this happen?" I was desperate to know now.
"Your real mother she..." his voice trailed off.
"She what?" I shouted.
"She passed away giving birth to you. Your aunt and uncle took you in knowing whose daughter you really are." He looked at me for a moment before looking back at the road. My body froze. I didn't know how to take this.

"So all my life I thought my aunt and uncle were my real parents...what about my real father?" I asked eagerly hoping that there was good news.

"He actually only just found out about your existence. Hence me being here."
"I want to meet him!"
"You will." He said simply.
"Wait...why are you helping me."
He exhaled deeply before answering me.
" My father was close friends with your actual father some may even say they were like brothers."
I still didn't understand clearly so I waited for him to continue patiently.
"My father died and yours took me in..." he continued.
"It's only right for me to help you. I owe him."
"Right, of course." I sighed, taking in all of today's events.
"We need to be careful...word is out that Deniz Sahenk's daughter is out for grabs. Everyone wants you now." His eyes didn't leave the road but his grip on the steering wheel tightened.
"That's my fathers name?" I questioned. It sounded familiar.
Zayd nodded and continued concentrating on the road ahead, he was tense.
"He's going to want to contact you soon but we have to be careful on how we do that, he has a lot of enemies" he explained.
I couldn't help but get anxious, this didn't sound promising. I fiddled with my necklace whilst a hundred thoughts rushed through my head.
