3rd Person's POV

They both walked silently up the staircase. (y/n) pondered for a moment. Isn't the sitting room near the dining room? She thought. She stopped for a moment, looking at Loki. He looked back at her, eyes gleaming with mischief.
"I thought we-"
"Wouldn't you rather curl up near the fire with a good book?"
"Huh?"
Her eyebrows furrowed, realisation washed over her features. She looked up at him with excitement,"You have library?!" She jumped up and down with excitement, earning a quirked brow from the god. "I don't understand how a woman can love books so much...normally they just-"
"Well am I normal? No! Or course not! What normal woman would put herself before her family these days?"
She 'hmph'd and crossed her arms, looking at the ground with a murderous glare. Loki's eyes softened and placed his hands gingerly onto her shoulders," I have misread you, my dear. Forgive me... I-I never wanted to actually hurt you..."
Her heart seemed to melt at how he had /somehow/ regained his kindness. She smiled at him and held his hand. They both seemed to cherish that split second, but oh you know. Men's pride always gets in the way. What am I doing?! He shook his head and regained his composure, releasing his hand from her grip. Walking away, he noticed he whiling her hand in which she had held his.
"Have you really forgotten, Loki?"
"I remember nothing."
He growled slightly,"Are you not coming?"
She jumped and hurried back to his side, the quiet only making the tension even more unbearable. She hung her head and watched, with a pitiful expression as he opened the large doors. Oh, how her expression changed when she saw the hundreds, no thousands, or books in shelves. On tables, even seemingly floating in midair! She gaped and felt a rush or warmth full her body as she pushed last him, flipping through the first book she had gotten her hands on. Smiling, she picks up a dusty book. Her real favourite that her mother had read to her when she was a child. She opened the book that was a poem. One in which you had to sing in order to understand its purpose.
Tale as old as time,
True as it can be.
Barely even friends,
Then somebody bends,
Unexpectedly.
She didn't notice how tears stung he eyes as memories of her mother flashed before her. He'd first magic trick, how she pronounced apple...oh how she missed he mama. She sung the last few words out loud, the melody reaching Loki's ears. And oh, how sweet it was.
Tale as old as time,
Song a sold as rhyme...
Beauty and The Beast.....
She closed the book, not noticing Loki's longing expression as she scoured the library for a different book.
