Chapter 16

Your POV

Loki lead me to the balcony, holding my delicate hands in his strong ones.

"I have to ask you something, (y/n)..." He looked at the ground, almost solemnly. I just looked at him, confused at his actions.

"What is it, Loki?" I asked, looking into his jade and sapphire eyes.

"A-Are you happy here?" He asks, genuinely hopeful and has a glimmer of happiness in his eyes.

"Of course I am," I say, almost matter-of-fact-like,"But...But I miss my father all the same...He seems so far away now and...and I didn't even get to say goodbye..."

He looks up, almost with an expression that held the upmost fear.

"You...you don't like it here?"

I shook my head furiously," Of course I do! Some things never change, like a father-daughter bond like mine and Papa's..."

He looks as if on the verge of tears,"You must leave then..."

"What?! Why?"

"For your own safety and security! If you truly love me you will go...For I cannot keep you chained inside a castle an expect love!" He almost yells, anger and sorrow filling his words,"You leave tonight, and I bear a gift of departure..." He hands me a mirror, the same mirror that was by the rose. "Take it, and leave me be..."

I yank the glass object from him, crying.

"Fine! I'll leave you and this god for saken castle!" I scream, rushing out.

He falls to the ground, crying and beating the floor furiously.

~time skip~

I finally make it to town, running to my house. I see Thor and a shady old man making their way to an asylum carriage.

"What do you think your doing?! I'm not insane! I'm not insane!"

Thor laughs, almost triumphantly," Oh sir, yes you are. There have not been any frost giants in centuries!"

My eyes widened, knowing this was about Loki.

"Stop! Your hurting him!"

A man stepped over from near Thor.

"Isn't that what insane old men deserve?"

"What? He's not crazy!"

"Oh, really... Then why does he speak of a blue beast taking you from him? You seem perfectly healthy."

"He-He's real!!"

The old man gave me a 'prove it' look.

I took out the mirror, tears in my eyes, and demanded.

"Show me Loki Laufeyson."
