The Sanctuary

Mara made her way to her sanctuary where she is meeting Charlie and Phee. Every mage has a sanctuary, but no one is supposed to know about it. But Charlie and Phee found out a couple months ago and it became a hangout for the three. 

Mara was having a rough time with school and feelings she's never had before for her friend. So, she spent a lot of time in her sanctuary meditating. 

But since Charlie and Phee didn't know about this it made them think that Mara didn't like them anymore. Phee was the one that mainly thought that. Charlie knows Mara would never do that to them, so she was angry that Mara was hiding something. One day after school Mara went straight into her room not acknowledging them. Phee begin to cry and made her way to her room. Charlie was fuming and went over to Mara's room. 

Mara was about to go into her sanctuary when Charlie came phasing in.

 "What is your problem?!" Charlie yelled.

 Mara looked at her confused. "What do you mean?" Mara asked her. 

"You have been ignoring me and Phee so much that Phee thinks you don't like us anymore. At the beginning I thought that you would never do that but now I think I'm changing my mind because you now made Phee cry which I know you would never do. Or at least I thought I knew." Charlie yelled getting quiet at the end. 

Mara began to feel bad. She didn't mean for this to happen. She just needed to meditate to get everything in her life over. And she couldn't tell Charlie and Phee because no one is supposed to know. But if them not knowing is going to affect their friendship then she is willing to tell them. She could trust them. 

"You and Phee meet me back here at 5:00." Mara told Charlie and left the room. 

Charlie was confused and phased out of the room to go to Phee's room. 

At 4:45 Charlie and Phee make their way to Mara's room. Phee is excited to hang out with Mara again even though she should be mad she couldn't. Charlie on the other hand was mad and confused about what is happening. When they get there the door opened with Mara on the other side. 

"Come here" Mara says to Phee and opened her arms. 

Phee jumps into her arms and hugged her. Mara catches her and nozzles her face into Phee's neck.

 "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry." Mara said into her neck. 

"It's okay" Phee said. 

Mara settled her down and looked over at Charlie. Then she opened her arms toward her. 

"Thought you didn't do hugs?" Charlie asked with her arms crossed on her chest and eyebrow raised.

 "I don't but I'll do it for you guys." Mara said shrugged with her arms still open.

 Charlie rolled her eyes with a small smile. 

"You're such a softy." Charlie said unfolding her arms going in for the hug. 

"Only for you guys." Mara says smiled meeting Charlie in the middle. 

"I'm sorry Charlie." Mara said. 

"You're forgiven." Charlie says pulling back.

 "Now that I am forgiven, I will show you why I disappeared for a couple weeks." Mara said and grabbed both of their hands and dragged them into the room. 

Charlie closed the door behind her. 

"Don't let go" Mara said before mumbling a spell and then see a flash of light before they end up in an endless type of room. 

"Woah" Charlie and Phee said at the same time. 

There is a couple bookshelves and a meditation place toward the middle. Next to the pond is a shark tank with yellow small sharks. On one Charlie's name is written on it. Next to the bookshelves is a garden with flowers that spell out Emma's name. On the top is pink planets and stars. Some of the stars spell out Phee. 

"Welcome to my Sanctuary. Every mage has one. You can't tell anyone though. No one is supposed to know." Mara said. 

"Why is my name on a shark?" Charlie asked confused. 

"Woah look my name is in the stars." Phee said amazed. 

"Well, when a mage meets someone important to their life it will make a little thing for them. So, when I first met Emma as my roommate, she got a garden. Then long after that I met Charlie and got a shark tank with yellow sharks in them. Then when I met Phee I got pink stars and planets. And to tell which belongs to who the name is in the thing whatever it is." Mara explained. 

Charlie and Phee look amazed.

 "That's so cool." Phee said before somehow falling on her face. Mara and Charlie laughed at Phee. 

Later on, Charlie made a portal type thing so Phee and her can go in there anytime they wanted. 

"Hey Mara, where were you?" Charlie says getting Mara's attention when she enters the sanctuary. 

"Sorry I took a long time I got some snacks for us." Mara says showing them the bag.

 "Well hurry up we want to play uno!" Phee says rushing her. 

Mara laughs at her friends. She sits down with them and Charlie begins to shuffle out the cards. 

"I'm gonna beat you all!!" Phee says pointing at Charlie and Mara. 

They look at each other and laugh. Phee then laughs with them.

 Mara looks at her friends and hope things never change.
