~Connor POV:

It was the third day after I moved to town when I saw her. I heard loud singing (bad singing, if you want to know) coming from outside. I looked outside and saw a girl playing air guitar and loudly belting out a song. She was wearing light blue earbuds that day, I remember them. I remember how her black hair spun in the wind as she danced to music only she could hear. I remember her bad singing voice making me want to listen to her more. She lives across the street in a normal brick house with a boring lawn and a basketball hoop outside. I sometimes see who I assume to be her brother shooting and dribbling a ball. She had a huge dog, a brown Great Dane who she sometimes took for walks. I soon realized I looked forward to 5:15, which was around the time of her daily dose of screeching. I would always watch her and listen to the new song she sang today. I know it's stalker-ish, but you people-watch too, don't you? I wanted to talk to her. But how am I supposed to start a conversation?
"Hi! I'm Connor, I stalk you while you sing and dance outside your house!" Although, really. She was kinda behind a bush, but you could still see her. Ridiculous girl.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was orientation day at my new school when my life turned for the better. The girl from across the street burst into the room with her brother, shiny with sweat and with an adorable bed head. I didn't hear the rooms giggles as I stared at the girl. We were in the same school. My heart leapt out of my chest and took a dive in the Mediterranean Sea, I was so happy at that moment. I don't know why though, I've never met her.
"You know them?" My friend said, noticing my staring.
"Ah, n-no. They just... look familiar is all." He squinted his brown eyes, clearly suspicious. He shrugged through and turned back to the principal, not caring. I didn't hear half of what he said, I was too busy thinking. The assembly ended and I didn't even notice until my friend jerked me up and dragged me to the table to get our schedule. People were everywhere. I felt someone bump into me harder than the usual bumps and turned. My heart stopped in my chest.
She was there.
She was so close to me.
I could see the specs of silver in her green eyes, the individual strands of her glossy hair, the slight red flush on her pale cheeks.
And as I watched her leave, I realized that the first time I saw her I had fallen in love.
