Hi my name is Brianna McCain im the typical teenager you would say. Im 16, I love singing and dancing, and I live in the big and beautiful ATL(atlanta).
"Morning mom" I said as I was stepping into the kitchen to grab an apple and leave.
"Morning sweetheart, where are you going" she asked.
"To the mall with tay" I said.
"O ok well have fun sweetheart and be back by 7 because me and your father have something to talk to you about" she said.
"Ok" I said then I left.
"I wonder what they have to talk to me about" I said to myself, but I just pushed the negative thoughts to to the back of my head.
*At the mall*
When I pull up I see my friend tay waiting for me so I parked my car and walked over to where she was standing.
"Hey tay" I said to my best friend. Tay has been my best friend since the first grade.
"Hey bri" she said with a wide smile.
"So which store are we going to first?" I said
"Hmm lets go to forever 21 since I know thats your favorite store and all" she said.
I smiled at her and we headed to forever 21 I couldn't stop worrying about what mom said.
What did mom and dad have to talk to me about? Am I in trouble? Is something wrong? And through all of this tay was rambling on about the latest gossip,"- she looked awful in those jeans and did u know that jeremy broke up with scarlett?"
As she looks at me , she then realizes that im not even paying attention .
"Bri, are you ok? Your quiet?" She asks me worryingly.
"Nothing im fine" I tell her trying to fake a smile . She then gives me this do - you - think - I - believe - that look .
"Seriously your going to lie to me, im your best friend" she says.
"Ok" I say. As I go into every thing that morning she listens , intently.
"Oh im sure its nothing bad, dont worry so hard about it you'll get wrinkles" she laughs. I laugh to, nervously.
"Hey dont do that ", she looked me in my eyes and said,
"Everything will be fine". So as the day pass, we laughed, talked, played around but I still couldn't help but worry about what mom and dad had to talk to me about.
*At home*
"Mom, Dad, im home" I yelled through the house.
"In the living room" the yelled back in unison. So I walked into the living room to see both of them sitting on the couch.
"So....... what is that you guys had to talk to me about" I asked both me parents.
"Well sweetheart "mom said.
"Your father got a new position on the job" she said.
"Wow dad thats cool but is that all yall wanted to tell me" I asked both of my parents.
"Well- my mom started but got cut off by my dad wich I thought was really rude by the way
"Baby girl what your mom was trying to say is that I have got I new position on the job and its in California and that we will be moving there in less than a week" he said. When those words came out of his mouth my heart sank.
"Um what?" I said.
"We're moving" mom said.
"NO! We can't move what about all our friends here? What about school? Im a senior I cant just leave in the middle of the school year!" I said to them.
" I know sweetie, but we will have to make do, you're a good child we know you will do fine" she said patiently.
"Yes you will baby girl" my dad said who also agreed with my mom.
"But I dont wanna leave" I said as my voice cracked.
" we understand that but honey but we have to take this chance, its a once in a lifetime chance, you have to understand that honey" my dad said.
"Oh ok" I said, then I ran off to my room as fast as I could trying to hold back the tears but that didnt work. I couldn't help but cry.
"Why, why does this have to happen to me I cried. All I did that night was cry, cry,cry,cry and cry then I drifted off into a deep sleep letting the worries of the day voast away.
