A tall... a very tall zebra walked into our classroom.

It was a normal day. Haru and I walked into the history classroom in the morning. We were listening to Melon's lecture. Then we ended up with another new teacher entering in the middle of the class.

Melon's eyes furrowed when he saw the very tall zebra walk in. Glasses, black and white patterned fur, a white button up shirt.

"You must Melon-kun?" This new teacher said. Melon nodded as he stopped writing on the board and faced him.

"I'm sure you've heard of me, I'm your new assistant." He said as his grip around his papers tightened.

"Oh, really? I wasn't informed of that. Would you like to talk about it outside?" Melon politely stated. He placed the chalk down and turned to us and said, "I'll be right back guys. Make sure you stay seated and use this time wisely."

The teachers left the classroom and everyone started writing down the notes from the chalkboard into their notebooks. I did the same and so did Haru.

Something clearly was off. At least my guts said so.

"Haru I'll be right back. I need to use the restroom." I whisper as I get up and head to the door.

Before opening it, I took a deep breath and pushed down the handle and stepped out.

Beautiful long lashes, black and brown fur, silky mane. A tall, slender, muscular horse was holding tightly onto Melon's arm. Melon was on the floor, while his arm was tightly held high up in the air.

I should've stayed inside...

I closed the door and said, "I- came out to use the restroom." as I pointed down the hall.

Melon gave me an innocent smile and said, "Go ahead."

I started walking past them but then heard a gun reload. Of course. I stopped walking and turned around to meet eyes with Melon, who just as expected held a gun directed at me.

The horse's face was furrowed, more focused on capturing Melon than saving me. Understandable.

"This is the first time I've hesitated to shoot someone."

"Stay still." Was what the horse said.

What do I do?

A. Run and call for help.

B. Try to calm Melon down.

C. Stay still.

D. Help Melon escape.

Shouldn't there be an 'E'?

C. Stay still.

"If one of you move, someone will have to die." Melon sadisticly said in a cold and empty tone.

Just then when Melon was focused on me, this horse took his chance and grabbed the gun out of Melon's hands and pinned him down to the ground. The gun was send sliding to me and I had the chance to take it, but instead something snapped in me and I fell back.

I furthered myself from the gun, as the memories of the murder returned.

"Take the gun." The horse ordered, but I couldn't bring myself to touch it. It was the same gun.

I looked at the both of them. The horse was hand cuffing Melon's hands as Melon gave me a look, I very well understood.

'You know what to do.'

I slowly got up and watched as this mysterious horse helped Melon get up. He walked over to me and picked up the gun, taking out the bullets.

"You're coming with us." The horse said as he put the gun in his pouch.

I opened my mouth to protest but his glare was enough to shut me up. What now..?

What is a girl to do when it came to... love... nothing. The answer was, 'nothing.' She is blind. There's nothing she can do.

I looked down at my feet and quietly followed the horse down the hall. "The teachers know about this. Just follow orders."

I nodded to myself and kept following him, refusing to look up. I purposefully fell a step behind just to make sure I wouldn't meet anyone's eyes.

Why... why... why!!! What did I do!? Got involved with a criminal... and what!? Now what!? It's always like this!

"Don't you feel any pity arresting an innocent herbivore?" Melon sang as he followed suit. The horse ignored him and kept pulling him by the arm.

"Sir? Why exactly am I involved in this?" I quietly mumbled out.

Even a loud and outgoing carnivore like me had could go quiet. Pathetic. It almost felt fake.

"That's what we'll be asking you when we get to the police department." The horse replied with.

"Ahh, now I feel guilty. Making one of my lovely students get into this situation because of me." Melon sang even louder.

Lovely..?

We got out of the school building and this horse led us to what I assumed was his car. Why wasn't this place packed with police cars? Wasn't Melon one of the most wanted criminals? Where is everyone?

The horse sat me down in the back seat and Melon in the passenger's seat. Why... something... something bad was going to happen.

"Sir-" why am I helping this man I just met? "maybe you should..." He wouldn't believe me. "Never mind. Sorry..."

What now!
