Apollo sank into the firm loveseat, his loveseat, and quickly flopped over so that he was facing the dark fabric rather than his present company who he was not present enough to deal with. Slowly he sank into the ever-darkening abyss that is his mind, and the two people who would pull him out of the blackness were currently preoccupied... in some way or another.

Maybe he was being overdramatic, then again that happened to be his thing. The loss of the one and only person in the world he had ever- it's complex- but the loss hit him like a bullet train.

As he listened to his sister and her rag-tag band of weirdos across the room he felt a wave of lonely jealousy pool in his stomach like bile. They all sat around comforting her, taking her mind off of things, bringing her the joy she so rarely was without. She always had someone there for her, throughout it all, and she always would. Eccentric, bright, optimistic people like her are always taken care of when they're hurting, but the obscure ones are barely noticed when they slip deeper into themselves.

He was one of those people, and at that moment he was violently aware of it.

Later on, deep into the ungodly hours of the night, he finally stalked up to his dormitory. It had taken many hours for dear Athena and her friends to clock out for the night, and he wouldn't allow himself to leave before then. He would never allow anyone, especially his sister, to see his red cheeks and tear-stained eyes.

Slowly, he creaked open the door to his dorm, taking special precaution to pull the handle in the opposite direction of the hinges to minimize sound. Once inside he made his way to the bed dejectedly, gently climbed in, and settled himself amongst the covers. He was certainly not ready for the next day, and he tossed and turned dreadingly for hours until eventually, the lethargy overtook the anxiousness.
