Biana's POV

Today was the day for Sophie's Wanderling plantation. All I could hear in the crowd was some sobbing and silence. Nobody talked. Nothing. Not a peep. This planting was different. They would give the Wanderling an elixir to make it grow taller than any other since Sophie's was already planted. This planted lasted about an hour. After everyone left. My family and I stayed to comfort Sophie's adoptive parents. I remembered Sophie's words. "Run as soon as it's over." So I did. I raced towards the cliff, surprising my parents. They shouted for me to come back. I didn't listen and the whistling of the wind cancelled a lot of sound. I ran, ran, ran, as fast as my legs could. I arrived at my destination, and jumped off the cliff.

I plummeted to my death, expecting to feel pain, but instead I found myself caught by arms and the last thing I saw was Tam getting caught by arms bearing a white eye and a shout before collapsing unconscious.
