"A group of captives was reported in Towa City, we need a group to go and rescue them. Togami, you're leading the mission." Those words echoed in Byakuya's mind, as he stared out the window. He wasn't fond of helicopters, or any aircraft for that matter, but he'd learned to get used to it. It was quite often that he'd fly to various countries in Europe, which were much longer trips than his current one.
"Are you okay...?" A voice other than his own entered his mind. He looked over, noticing Chihiro sitting patiently across from him. He was right next to Yasuhiro, who was distracted by something on his phone.
Byakuya gently nodded, not wanting to disturb anyone with a verbal response. He turned back to the window, as Chihiro continued. "These captives are from the killing game... Right? Do you think... Do you think my father will be there...? I wonder if he's oka-"
"Hey, Togs! Take a look at this..!" Hagakure spoke, interrupting the smaller boy. He turned his phone screen towards Byakuya, a concerned expression on his face.
Mondo grumbled under his breath, seemingly annoyed at the sudden interruption. Despite this, he leaned over Byakuya's shoulder, scanning the messages between Hagakure and Naegi.
"Fukawa is missing? You don't suppose she tried to follow us...?" Byakuya asked, taking a quick look around the aircraft. As he expected, she was nowhere to be seen.
"I dunno. Maybe she got taken away by aliens?!!" Yasuhiro's eyes widened as the possibility came to his mind, but Byakuya wasn't impressed.
"Aliens don't exist, Hagakure."
"They do too! Did I ever tell you about the time an alien stole my burger??" He said the absurd sentence nonchalantly, preparing to tell the story.
Chihiro seemed genuinely curious, which contrasted with Byakuya's annoyance. "You haven't, and I'd like to keep it that way."
"Then what do you think happened to her?" Out of ideas, Yasuhiro asked the other's opinion on the matter. He seemed concerned, which was fair in their current situation. Anything could happen in this post apocalyptic world, especially when you're one of the most famous people in the world.
"Like I said, she most likely followed us. I can only assume she's somewhere on this aircraft. I wouldn't be concerned, if I were you." Byakuya brushed it off, turning to look out the window again. Suddenly, his eyes widened as the view of Towa city became clearer.
"You okay, dude?" Yasuhiro leaned over to take a look as well, earning his own look of surprise. His eyes widened as he let out a small "Woah..."
"Are those....?" Chihiro spoke quietly, leaving the rest of the sentence up to interpretation. The thing they were referring to happened to be a swarm of Monokumas. Millions of the two foot bear waddles across the streets, hunting down anyone they could find. The city was littered in blood and gore.
"What..... The fuck..?" Mondo spat out, the view becoming more clear as the aircraft closed the distance.
Suddenly, a voice spoke over the intercome, drawing the four's attention away from the window. "We're dropping in Towa City, prepare to engage!"
While the more mature of the two regained his composure and prepared himself, the other was still too shocked to move. "Is that... We really gotta go in there..-"
"Here, take this!" Byakuya tossed a device that looked like a megaphone to the clairvoyant, grasping onto his own. While not appearing like it, the device was actually a hacking gun, which could destroy or control machinery. "We don't have time to sit around!"
"Please be careful.. One Monokuma is a huge threat as it is, but with hundreds...." Chihiro spoke out in concern, watching Yasuhiro catch the hacking gun in his hands.
