I R I S

It was a week after the jumping incident and the day I would be returning to school. Luca was still a bit reluctant, but Alejandro and myself convinced him that I'm ready and I'd be okay. I was currently in the car with Lorenzo and the twins.

Mateo pulled up into the driveway of Mcdonald's since no one had breakfast.

"What do you fools want?" He asked us.

So, story time.

I wanted to go to the mall with my brothers two days ago, and the outfit I wanted to wear was super cute. But the jeans couldn't pass my thighs. I was so concerned, since I just got them. So I went on my scale and it said I weighed 124 lbs. Which meant I was overweight for my age.

So let's just say I'm not eating anything today.

Kisses.

Emilio and Lorenzo started shouting out their orders, and since there was no attention on me I acted like I was asleep.

"Iris?" Mateo called, but my eyes were closed and I evened out my breathing. He called my name again, but I wasn't 'waking up' anytime soon. I heard nothing for the next couple of seconds. That's until I heard Mateo ordering.

Again.

"Hey, Can you also throw in a 10 piece nuggets, barbecue sauce and a lemonade please?" He asked. And I knew that order was for me since everyone already ordered.

Fuck.

I sighed deeply and woke up or whatever and saw all my brothers staring at me.

"I got you nuggets." Mateo said. "Barbecue sauce and lemonade, the only fucking thing you drink." He mumbled that last part. I smiled softly and whispered a thanks. I love how my brothers notice even the smallest detail. But it's a blessing and a curse.

We drove around to the pickup window and collected our food. Lorenzo and Emilio were conversing while eating and Mateo was listening to the low hum of Post Malone on the radio, popping a fry in his mouth occasionally. I was dipping my hand in my food, but never bringing any up to my mouth. I only put my hand in the bag so that it wouldn't seem suspicious. When I got to school I would buy a bottle of water and throw away the food or give it to someone who wants it.

Don't fight me with all that ungrateful shit.

When we pulled up in the parking lot, the guys' friends were in their usual spot. We all came out of the car and I was making my way inside to see if I could find the pink haired girl.

Gemini, I think?

I really wanted to thank her. At my old school, if anybody saw someone like that they would literally just walk away. I was walking when I heard my name being called. I turned around only to be met by Mateo. He wore a very stern expression and the abused side of me was telling me to be very afraid. Once he came over to me, he spoke.

"Why didn't you eat your food?" He asked.

Busted. How the fuck did he even notice?

Quick Iris, on spot. Make up a lie right here.

"I wasn't hungry."
