*Nine months ago*
You sat in the refresher room floor, huddled with your loving husband, Luke Skywalker, over a pregnancy test. This was it. After a whole year together, the two of you were ready to start a family and take the chance to settle down.
Together, you watched as the word 'pregnant' flashed across the screen. Your mouth hung open as Luke jumped to his feet, happily celebrating the news that he would, in nine month's time, be a father. He carefully pulled you to your feet, showering you with kisses as you cried tears of joy. "I can't believe this is happening, Luke."
He smiled at you, love reflecting in his bright blue eyes, "I can, and I just know that this little one," he patted your stomach, "will love you, just as much as I do." He bent down and whispered, "She's mine though, you hear that?" You couldn't help but laugh as the Jedi sent you a wink.
*20 weeks later*
"Any guesses before the big reveal, kid?" Han Solo elbowed Luke jokingly.
Luke shook his head, "____ said I wasn't allowed to use the Force to tell. She doesn't realize I don't need the Force to know."
You and Leia walked over to where your brother and Luke were conversing, and you couldn't help but chime in, "Oh really? Then what is it Luke?"
He smirked, "I can't tell you that. It would ruin the surprise."
"Hmm. I'm sure that's the only reason why," Leia shook her head knowingly at her brother.
All of the sudden, Chewie came out of the Millennium Falcon holding onto a large grey ballon that threatened to blow out of his grasp. He anchored it into the ground and waited for Han's signal. Artoo whirred excitedly beside you and Threepio started numbering off the odds, but just before he came to a conclusion, Han gave Chewbacca a nod and popped the balloon, revealing the pink confetti inside.
You squealed, wrapping Luke in a tight hug. He pressed a kiss to your forehead, whispering just loud enough for you to hear, "The Force never lies."
You playfully hit him in the shoulder, giving him a look, "You promised."
He laughed heartily, "I know. I know. I deserved that."
Leia was the next to congratulate you, excitedly gushing how her son Ben and your little girl would get along so well. All was going according to the plan.
*Eight months into the pregnancy*
"Luke! Luke?"
"Yes, ____? Are you alright?" Luke came rushing into the room, worried as he noticed you doubled over in pain.
"I-I don't think so. My water just broke, but, it's too soon. I," You struggled to get your words out, "We need to..."
Luke placed his hand on your shoulder reassuringly, "Breathe, ____."
"Hospital," You managed to breathe out.
Luke nodded, "Alright, hang tight."
The medical staff rushed around as you were brought in. Luke Skywalker started to panic slightly as he felt the fear of the nurses around you. He couldn't help but hear the fearful whispers when you were rushed out of his sight.
"It's almost a whole month early."
"Do we know if they have a history of any birth defects?"
"She's losing a lot of blood."
Luke paced the lobby so much that he was sure that he'd taken enough steps to walk across the entire planet of Tatooine. Leia and Han came rushing in an hour or so after Luke commed them with the news. A shared look of concern flashed across both of their faces as they noticed Luke. Leia sent Han to find someone that could give them an update on your condition, knowing that Han would find answers quicker than she would.
"Luke, I'm sure everything is fine, alright?" Leia attempted to calm him, but it had the opposite effect.
"How can you say that? I haven't seen her since they took her back. I can't reach her through the Force, or even feel her presence. I'm fearful something terrible has happened."
Leia sighed, "Remember when you first started teaching me to use the Force?" Luke nodded in reply. "Well, do you remember how you told me that my emotions were keeping me from being able to truly connect with it?" Once again, he only nodded. Leia placed a hand in his arm, "This is the same thing, Luke. Try to relax and I believe you'll be able to find her."
He chewed on his lip anxiously, but he closed his eyes, focusing on peaceful thoughts until he was able to calm himself. Just as he started to reach out, Han burst through the door, "Luke, they need you back here."
His eyes grew wide, but he remembered to keep himself calm. He followed his best friend back to where you laid in a bed, holding a small bundle in your arms, tears streaming down your face. Luke smiled, both relieved to see you in perfect health and at the sight of his daughter in your arms. He walked closer, admiring the newborn's features. He chuckled lightly when he noticed that the child had the Skywalker blue eyes that he shared with his father before him.
You gently passed your daughter to Luke, allowing him to hold her in his arms. You watched as Luke beamed with pride, a single tear rolling down his face as he glanced back up at you. "We did it, ____."
You smiled, "We sure did. Now what was that name you had picked out?"
His jaw dropped, "You wanna go with the name I picked?" You nodded.
He pulled back the blanket away from your daughter's face and said, "Anika Skywalker, welcome to the family."
bonus:
Both Han and Leia were allowed to see you and your daughter, taking turns holding her. Leia naturally held Anika, cradling her gently before passing her to Han, who simply held her still, unable to grasp that this was his niece. He held her tightly in his arms, looking up at his sister, "I'm an uncle now. Who would've thought?"
Leia chuckled, "Your also a father. I'm pretty sure that's the unbelievable part."
